Livvy Dunne is stepping into a completely new phase of her career, and fans are starting to see both sides of it. The 23-year-old, who recently walked away from competitive gymnastics, is now focusing on acting, and her latest updates are getting a lot of attention online.

She recently shared a simple mirror selfie on Snapchat, giving followers a look at her everyday style. In the photo, she wore a white one-shoulder top layered over a black cami, along with black micro shorts. The outfit was relaxed and very different from the red swimsuit look people have been seeing lately.

That contrast is what fans are talking about. Just days earlier, photos from the set of the new Baywatch reboot started spreading online. Taken during filming in Los Angeles, Dunne was seen on the beach wearing the classic red swimsuit made famous by the original show. The pictures quickly picked up attention across social media.

Dunne also joined in on the conversation in her own way. In a recent Instagram post, she joked about the role and wrote, “I only run in slow motion now,” referencing the well-known style of the series. The comment made it clear she is enjoying the moment and not taking everything too seriously.

This new show is a big step for her. The Baywatch reboot, which is expected to air during the 2026 to 2027 TV season on Fox, will be her first major acting role. She has been cast as a character named Grace, described as a young and eager lifeguard who brings energy to the team.

To get ready for the role, Dunne has been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes. Reports say she spent months taking acting classes to build her skills. She also trained at Venice Beach, where she learned real rescue techniques and water safety so her performance would feel more real on screen.

The show features a well-known cast. Stephen Amell is leading the series as an older version of Hobie Buchannon, now working as a captain like his father. Other actors involved include Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Brooks Nader, and Noah Beck. There is also a connection to the original series, as David Chokachi is returning to reprise his role.

Dunne’s move into acting comes after a very successful time in college sports. She was part of the LSU gymnastics team and helped them win a national title. Even before leaving the sport, she had already built a huge following online, which helped her stay in the spotlight.

She has spoken about wanting to try acting for a while. In a past interview, she said, “It’s something I’ve been passionate about for quite some time,” explaining that her experience as an athlete helped her stay focused and disciplined during long work days.

Outside of television, she is still very active in modeling. On March 24, it was announced that she will appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue again, marking her fourth year in a row. New photos from the shoot show her posing in a white bikini, continuing to build her image in the fashion world.

With filming, modeling, and public appearances all happening at once, Dunne’s schedule is packed. The Baywatch reboot already has a 12-episode order, showing that the network has strong plans for the show.

For now, fans are watching closely as she moves from gymnastics into entertainment. Between her casual social media posts and her big on-screen role, it is clear she is building something new step by step.
