‘Bad Boys’ Star in Trouble After Arrest Over Domestic Violence Allegations
Theresa Randle, the actress known for her roles in the Bad Boys movies and Spike Lee’s Malcolm X, has reportedly been booked on another felony charge. Online records show the 61-year-old was taken into custody earlier this month on a charge related to corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
The arrest happened on March 1, but Randle’s stay in custody was brief. She was released two days later, on March 3, after authorities determined there wasn’t enough evidence to continue with the charges.
This latest incident is not the first time Randle has faced legal issues in recent years. In October 2024, she was arrested on felony assault charges following multiple domestic disputes at a Los Angeles home.
Police reportedly had to respond twice in one week and described Randle as uncooperative and irritable during that arrest. The district attorney later decided not to pursue that case, dismissing the charges just days after her booking.
No statement has been released yet by Randle’s representatives regarding this new March arrest. The repeated nature of these incidents has sparked conversation among fans who remember her as a major presence in 1990s Hollywood.
Randle’s film career slowed down significantly over the last decade. She made her most recent appearance in 2020’s Bad Boys for Life, reprising her role as Marcus Burnett’s wife, Theresa Burnett. However, she did not return for the 2024 sequel, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, with Tasha Smith taking over the part.
The reasons behind her recasting were never officially explained, though speculation about her health began to circulate in 2023. A viral video that year showed a woman believed to be Randle using a walker in public, prompting fans to express concern for her well-being.
Since then, there have been no reports of upcoming film or television projects for Randle, suggesting she may have stepped away from acting entirely. Over the course of her career, she appeared in a number of major films, including Space Jam, Jungle Fever, Beverly Hills Cop III, and Malcolm X.
Randle’s presence in the film industry was especially strong in the 1990s, when she often worked alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Her roles ranged from high-energy action films to dramatic performances, helping her earn a respected reputation among her peers.
While the March 2026 arrest adds to a history of legal troubles, Randle has remained largely private about her personal life. Sources familiar with her say she is focusing on her own well-being and personal matters rather than attempting a professional comeback.
