Sydney Sweeney Shares Emotional Update on Brother Trent’s Deployment
Sydney Sweeney is giving fans a rare look at the personal side of her life by talking about her family and the military. On March 24, the 28-year-old actress shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram Story to honor service members currently stationed overseas.
Her update focused on her younger brother, Trent, who is serving in the United States Air Force. Sweeney posted a screenshot from a recent video call, showing Trent in a full camouflage uniform and helmet.
“Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” she wrote, showing how much the connection meant despite the distance. She also extended her thoughts to all military personnel, adding, “Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love!”

Sweeney made sure to express her gratitude for their dedication, ending her post with, “Thank you for your service : )” Trent has been active in the Air Force for several years, and in August 2025, he announced on social media that he had reached the rank of staff sergeant.
While the exact location of his current mission remains private, it comes during a tense time globally following recent conflicts in Iran. Even with her brother deployed, Sweeney continues to stay busy in her career.
She recently starred in Apple TV+’s psychological thriller Echo Valley, playing a daughter with a dark secret alongside Julianne Moore. Fans are also eagerly awaiting her return as Cassie Howard in the third season of Euphoria, which is set to premiere on April 12 after several delays.
In addition to acting, Sweeney is moving forward as a producer. Her company, Fifty-Fifty Films, is working on a remake of the cult classic Barbarella. She will both produce and star in the role originally played by Jane Fonda in the 1960s, signaling her growing influence behind the camera as well.
Despite a busy professional schedule, Sweeney’s Instagram update shows that her family remains a central part of her life. By sharing her support for Trent, she also highlights the personal sacrifices made by military families and the importance of staying connected, even from afar.
Her public message not only celebrates her brother but also sends a broader message of appreciation for all who serve overseas. Fans can see this side of Sweeney, one grounded in family and gratitude, even as she navigates one of the busiest years of her career.
