The Truth About Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette Salary Revealed
Taylor Frankie Paul is set to get a major paycheck even though her season of The Bachelorette was canceled just days before it was supposed to air. According to TMZ, the 31-year-old reality star will still be paid her full salary for season 22, with the payout estimated in the low-to-mid six figures.
ABC pulled the show from its March 22 premiere, but contractual obligations reportedly mean Paul will walk away with a big payday. Sources explained that Warner Bros. Discovery, the production company behind the show, is responsible for the payment since Paul completed all of her obligations.
She filmed the full season, which took her to places like St. Lucia and Colorado, and finished most of her promotional appearances. The cancellation came after a video surfaced on March 19 showing Paul in a physical altercation with her on-again, off-again partner, Dakota Mortensen.
The footage, which reportedly showed her throwing metal barstools in front of her children, prompted Disney Entertainment Television to cancel the season and focus on family safety.
Even with the cancellation, Paul will receive what leads on the long-running dating series normally earn. The news arrives as she faces ongoing legal and personal challenges in Utah.
On March 25, West Jordan authorities confirmed they are investigating a third domestic violence allegation involving Paul and Mortensen. This new case reportedly stems from an incident in February 2024.
Production on the fifth season of her Hulu series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has also been paused. Co-stars reportedly felt uncomfortable continuing filming while these serious legal matters are unresolved. Earlier this month, the fourth season debuted to strong viewership, solidifying Paul as one of reality TV’s most talked-about figures.
Aside from her television career, Paul has been focused on her three children, including her youngest son, Ever, with Mortensen. A spokesperson said she is prioritizing her family’s safety over her public life.
In recent weeks, she has stepped back from her usual TikTok activity while managing the fallout from both the Bachelorette cancellation and the Hulu pause. The cancellation has left The Bachelorette in uncertainty, with producers now needing to pick a new lead for the next season.
Paul remains at the center of a broader conversation about the vetting of reality TV stars and the responsibilities of networks when controversy arises. Whether she will return to reality TV or step back from the spotlight is still unclear, but her story continues to capture attention from fans and media alike.
