‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Trailer Drops – Rue in Shocking DEA Showdown Fans Won’t Believe
HBO has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, giving fans an intense first look at what’s coming. In the latest preview, Zendaya’s character Rue is seen in serious trouble, being questioned by DEA agents over incidents connected to Mexico. The trailer suggests a darker and more dangerous path for Rue than ever before.
Season 3 jumps ahead several years after the characters have left high school, showing how their lives and relationships have changed. Viewers get a glimpse of Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney, and Maddie, played by Alexa Demie, hinting at the evolving dynamics between the original core cast.
The premiere is set for April 12, 2026, at 9 p.m. Eastern, with new episodes airing every Sunday. Sam Levinson, who created, writes, and directs the show, returns as executive producer, ensuring continuity in the series’ distinctive style. The eight-episode season will explore complex themes including faith, redemption, and the challenges of growing up in a chaotic world.
Returning actors include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje, Eric Dane, Martha Kelly, and Toby Wallace. Guest stars also return, including Colman Domingo, Nika King, Dominic Fike, and others. Season 3 introduces high-profile new faces, such as Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Danielle Deadwyler, and Marshawn Lynch.
Colman Domingo teased the season during the Golden Globes, calling it, “a devastatingly gorgeous, epic season that I think is breaking the mold of television. I think it’s gonna become more cinema than television.” He also mentioned that his character Ali Muhammed’s backstory will be explored in depth this season.
Production wrapped in Los Angeles in November, with filming supported by a $19.4 million California tax credit. This season was shot using Kodak motion picture film in both 35mm and 65mm, making it the first narrative TV series to use significant amounts of 65mm film. HBO said this allows for a bigger, more immersive image, reflecting the characters’ move into a wider world beyond high school.
Euphoria remains one of HBO’s most ambitious projects, blending cinematic techniques with intense storytelling. Fans are eagerly awaiting April 12 to see how the series concludes its journey.
