Amy Schumer (44) Flaunts Confidence in Bold Bikini Photo After Chris Fischer Split
Amy Schumer is stepping into a new phase in her life. On March 31, the 44-year-old actress and comedian shared a striking photo on her Instagram Story, posing in a deep red swimsuit and dark sunglasses. She added a playful caption, asking her followers, “Thirsty enough for ya?”
The post comes after Schumer announced in December that she and her husband, Chris Fischer, were ending their seven-year marriage. Known for being open about her personal journey, Schumer has also shared the story behind her recent physical transformation and health struggles.

In 2024, she was diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, a condition that causes dangerously high cortisol levels. The illness contributed to significant weight gain and other serious health issues.
In a post late last year, Schumer explained that her fifty-pound weight loss was driven by health concerns rather than appearance. She wrote, “I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you, but the internet caught it, and that disease has cleared.”
Schumer said the changes were a result of multiple factors, including past cosmetic procedures and the use of the medication Mounjaro. However, she was candid about her negative experience with other weight loss treatments, like Ozempic.
During a 2025 interview on The Howard Stern Show, she shared how difficult that period was, saying, “I was bedridden. I was vomiting, and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good, so god bless them.”
The side effects affected not only her daily life but also her ability to spend time with her six-year-old son, Gene. She recalled struggling to play tag with him, feeling as though she was “shriveling.”
Reflecting on the experience, she explained, “I lost 30 pounds so quick. I looked great, and I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point?” Now that her health has improved, Schumer has committed herself to a year of self-care while staying active professionally.
She has remained busy with projects in the entertainment industry. Her comedy film Kinda Pregnant was a major streaming success last year, and she continues to work on new material for her stand-up tours. Alongside her creative work, Schumer is also raising awareness about women’s health issues such as endometriosis and perimenopause.
Even after personal and health challenges, Schumer seems to be embracing confidence and empowerment. Her recent swimsuit post is a glimpse into her renewed sense of self and her focus on living life on her terms.
