New details about Daredevil Born Again are starting to come out, and fans of the older Marvel shows have a big reason to be excited. According to set photos taken in New York City, filming for season 3 is already bringing together some very familiar faces from the Defenders era.

Images from the set show Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Krysten Ritter filming scenes together. They are known for playing Luke Cage, Danny Rand, and Jessica Jones in the earlier Netflix Marvel series. This is the first time all of these characters are coming back together since the 2017 Defenders miniseries.

The photos, which are the main source of this information, strongly suggest that Marvel is planning a full reunion of the street-level heroes. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is expected to be part of that group again, making it a complete return of the original team.

Krysten Ritter’s comeback is already confirmed. Reports say she will first appear near the end of season 2 before becoming part of a bigger story in season 3. Her return is meant to connect the older, darker tone of the Netflix shows with the newer Marvel stories on Disney+.

The move of these characters from Netflix to Disney+ has taken years, and fans have been asking for it for a long time. Mike Colter had already hinted that something like this could happen. During a podcast appearance in March, he said, “Now it’s time. I’ve had discussions with Marvel, and I do think that it’s very, very likely that I will come back at some point, but I don’t know when. But I think I will.” His comments now seem much more real after these set photos.

Finn Jones has also been open about wanting another chance to play Danny Rand. Speaking at an anime convention last year, he addressed the criticism he received in the past and made it clear he wants to return. He said, “I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, ‘Give me a f—ing chance, man.’ I’m here, and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen.”

As season 2 gets closer to its ending, there is more Marvel content on the way. A special called The Punisher One Last Kill, starring Jon Bernthal, is set to release on May 12. This will add even more to the street-level side of the Marvel world.

Outside of Daredevil, the cast members are staying busy. Krysten Ritter recently appeared in Dexter Resurrection, where she played a recurring character named Mia LaPierre. Mike Colter is also working on a new CBS series called Cupertino, a legal drama set in Silicon Valley that is expected to be released during the 2026 to 2027 TV season.

For now, Marvel has not officially shared full details about the Defenders reunion, but the set photos make it clear that something big is being planned. Fans who have been waiting years to see these characters together again might finally get what they wanted.
