Jennifer Aniston has been one of the most recognizable stars in entertainment since the late 1990s. Her role as Rachel Green on Friends turned her into a global celebrity and helped shape pop culture during that time. From her famous hairstyle to her high-profile personal life, Aniston became a household name and stayed in the spotlight long after the sitcom ended.

After Friends finished, she built a strong movie career and became known for leading romantic comedies and other major films. She also proved she could stay relevant in Hollywood for years, something not every television star manages to do.

More recently, she earned praise for her dramatic work in The Morning Show. Even with all of that success, there is one famous role Aniston says she always wanted but never got the chance to play.

During the 2020 SAG Awards, where she accepted an award for The Morning Show, Aniston shared that playing Wonder Woman had been a dream of hers. According to her remarks at the event, she said, I wanted to be Wonder Woman, before adding, But I waited too long.

Wonder Woman has been played by several stars over the years. Lynda Carter made the character iconic on television in the 1970s, while Gal Gadot later brought the superhero to a new generation in the modern DC films.

Now that DC Studios is moving in a new direction under James Gunn, many fans are wondering who will become the next Wonder Woman. Reports about the future of the franchise have kept interest high, and casting rumors continue to grow.

For Aniston, the timing simply did not work out. She was too young when the earlier version of the character was popular, and by the time new movies were being made, she was already focused on other stages of her career.

Still, she has made it clear that she feels energized about her work today. Speaking about her career, Aniston said, I really, honestly, feel that I’m just kicking into a creative stride, and added that she has new eyes for what she does.

She is currently working on the fifth season of The Morning Show for Apple TV+, showing that she remains busy and motivated. While she may never wear Wonder Woman’s tiara on screen, Jennifer Aniston’s career continues to move forward.
