Netflix Adds Four New Shows, Including a Critically Acclaimed Series With 98% on Rotten Tomatoes
Netflix is rolling out a new wave of films and series this week, and one of the biggest highlights is the return of the hit series BEEF. The update comes from Netflix and recent platform announcements about upcoming releases.
A range of different titles is arriving over the next few days, covering reality TV, drama, documentary, and comedy. The releases are spread across mid-April, giving viewers several new options to watch.
One of the first arrivals is Million Dollar Secret on April 15. The show returns with a second season. The format stays focused on a group of strangers trying to figure out which one of them is secretly holding a prize of one million dollars.
The show is hosted by Peter Serafinowicz. The first season of the show received strong audience reaction and holds an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
On April 16, attention shifts to BEEF, which returns in a new form. The series originally became a breakout hit with Ali Wong and Steven Yeun in leading roles, and it was widely praised by critics, holding a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The new season turns BEEF into an anthology, meaning it does not continue the original storyline. Instead, it introduces a new cast and new characters. This time, the main roles are played by Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
The story moves into a different setting, focusing on an upscale country club. The plot follows two young employees who record a serious argument between their boss and his wife. That moment triggers a chain of manipulation and blackmail that quickly grows out of control.
Also arriving on April 17 is A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough. The documentary is narrated by David Attenborough, who shares a story based on his early encounters with mountain gorillas. The film includes a focus on a gorilla named Pablo, and one of the emotional core moments comes from Attenborough’s real-life experience with the animal in Rwanda decades ago.
On the same day, Netflix will release Roommates, a comedy film featuring Sadie Sandler, daughter of Adam Sandler. The movie follows two young women, Devon and Celeste, whose friendship slowly turns into constant tension as they start living together.
All together, the week brings four major titles to Netflix: Million Dollar Secret season two, the new anthology version of BEEF, A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough, and Roommates.
The lineup shows a mix of competition reality, prestige drama, nature documentary storytelling, and light comedy, giving viewers a wide range of new content to choose from.
