‘Superman: Man of Tomorrow’ Casting Rumors Point to Adria Arjona as Maxima
According to industry reports and casting updates shared from production sources in Atlanta, Adria Arjona has been selected for a major role in the upcoming DC film Man of Tomorrow. The casting reportedly came after several rounds of auditions, where she stood out among other finalists, including Sydney Chandler and Eva De Dominici.
The studio has not officially confirmed her character yet, but multiple insiders suggest she is expected to play Maxima, a well-known figure from DC comics. Maxima is an alien queen from the planet Almerac and is known for her strength, confidence, and complicated connection to Superman.
In the comics, Maxima often sees Superman as the only partner who matches her power and status. This has made her both an enemy and sometimes an ally depending on the storyline. If the reports are correct, her appearance in the film could bring a more cosmic and political layer to the DC Universe.
Production on Man of Tomorrow is expected to begin soon, with filming scheduled to start within days. The film is currently set for a theatrical release on July 9, 2027, and is part of the new direction being developed for the DC cinematic universe under director James Gunn.
The story is expected to bring together David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. According to early reports, the two characters may be forced to work together against a larger threat, with Brainiac rumored to be the main villain, played by Lars Eidinger.
Arjona’s casting continues a strong period in her career. She recently received attention for her role in the Star Wars series Andor and for her performance in the action comedy Hit Man. Her move into the superhero genre marks another major step in her growing Hollywood profile.
She has also been in the public spotlight due to her relationship with actor Jason Momoa, who is set to appear in the same DC universe as Lobo. In addition, she is preparing for another major film project, a new version of The Thomas Crown Affair, where she will star alongside Michael B. Jordan.
While DC has not made an official announcement about her role yet, the ongoing reports strongly point toward Arjona taking on one of the more powerful and complex characters in Superman’s world.
