Rotten Tomatoes Just Crowned the Most Anticipated Show of May

At number one is “Spider-Noir: Season 1”, which will premiere on May 25, 2026 on Prime Video and MGM+. The show is a live-action Spider-Verse story set in a darker version of 1930s New York. Nicolas Cage plays Ben Reilly in the series. It follows an older and more worn-down version of the hero working in a gritty world.

Coming in second is “Rick and Morty: Season 9”, which arrives on May 24, 2026 on Adult Swim. The long-running animated series returns with more chaotic and strange adventures involving the famous duo Rick and Morty.

At number three is “Lord of the Flies: Limited Series”, which premieres on May 4, 2026 on Netflix. This is a new adaptation of William Golding’s classic novel. The series has already been well received by critics, with early reviews calling it “influential, hypnotic, and witty.”

Number four on the list is “Dutton Ranch: Season 1”, coming on May 15, 2026 on Paramount+. This show is part of the Yellowstone universe and focuses on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they try to build a new life together on a ranch in Texas after leaving their old world behind.

At number five is “The Four Seasons: Season 2”, which arrives on May 28, 2026 on Netflix. The dramedy, starring and co-created by Tina Fey, continues the story of a group of friends and their complicated relationships during different vacation trips. The first season followed their changing dynamics over four seasonal getaways after one couple announced they were separating.
