“The Boys” is getting closer to its final stretch, and things are only getting more intense as the story moves forward.

A new trailer for season 5, episode 6 has been released by Discussing Film, giving fans a look at what’s coming next in the Prime Video series. The preview shows the stakes rising even higher, with major characters heading toward another violent clash.

One of the biggest moments in the trailer is the return of Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles. This time, he appears to be fighting not just enemies, but also getting into conflict with the main group. At the same time, Homelander, played by Antony Starr, is still chasing more power and is now focused on becoming immortal.

Butcher, played by Karl Urban, continues his mission to stop him, even as the situation becomes more dangerous. The tension between these characters is clearly building toward something big as the season moves closer to its end.

The trailer also shows The Deep struggling with his own problems, hinting at a more personal storyline for the character. Another major addition is Bombsight, played by Mason Dye. The character has been teased for a while and now appears ready to play a key role in the story. Bombsight is also expected to be important in the upcoming prequel series “Vought Rising.”

The introduction of Bombsight connects closely to Homelander’s current goal, which involves tracking down a powerful element known as V1. This part of the story has been building across recent episodes and is now becoming central to the conflict.

At the same time, the wider universe of “The Boys” is also changing. Prime Video has confirmed that the spinoff series “Gen V” has been canceled after two seasons. However, some of its characters are still expected to appear in the final season of “The Boys.”

Showrunner Eric Kripke spoke about this in an interview with ScreenRant. He confirmed that these characters will still play a part in the story. He said, “Yeah, the Gen V kids certainly show up before the season’s over. We definitely wanted to keep them alive and be clear that they are out there in Annie’s army fighting the good fight.”

The series, which is based on the original comics, has taken many different directions compared to its source material. Because of that, fans are still unsure how the story will end or what will happen to characters like Homelander.

With each episode, the final season is building toward a major conclusion, and the latest trailer suggests that episode 6 will push things even further.

The show is clearly setting up a big and chaotic ending. Bringing in new characters while raising the stakes for existing ones makes it feel unpredictable, which is part of what keeps people watching. Do you think the show will deliver a satisfying ending, or is it getting too complicated? Share your thoughts in the comments.
