Marvel Power Rankings Reveal Only 6 ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Characters Strong Enough to Face Doctor Doom
Big franchise films often build hype by slowly revealing character details, power levels, and early teaser footage long before release.
These updates usually spark a lot of debate among fans, especially when it comes to how different heroes stack up against major villains. Small bits of information can quickly turn into big conversations online about who is strong enough to survive a final showdown.
According to reporting based on early trailer material shown at CinemaCon 2026 and official Marvel character stats, Avengers: Doomsday is already shaping up to feature a wide range of powerful characters facing off against a major threat in the form of Doctor Doom. The data and analysis come from materials tied to Marvel and its official character power system.
Doctor Doom himself is described as one of the most dangerous figures in the franchise. His official stat total is listed at 31, based on six categories including strength, intelligence, energy, speed, durability, and combat skill. He is especially strong in intelligence and energy-based abilities, making him a difficult opponent in both physical and strategic battles.
Even so, early comparisons highlight several heroes who could challenge him. One of them is Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Thor has a slightly higher total power score of 32, with extreme strength and speed giving him an edge. His experience fighting cosmic-level threats also places him in a position to go head-to-head with Doom, even if intelligence is not his strongest area.
Another key figure is Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart. His strength comes from his telepathic abilities rather than physical power. With very high intelligence and energy stats, he is considered dangerous in a different way. Instead of direct combat, his ability to influence minds could disrupt Doom’s plans before a fight even begins.
Lewis Pullman appears as Sentry, one of the most physically powerful characters in the lineup. His strength score is nearly unmatched, making him capable of overwhelming Doom in raw combat. However, his lower control and intelligence stats suggest he could struggle against Doom’s tactical mind if the fight becomes prolonged.
Simu Liu returns as Shang-Chi, whose fighting ability is one of the highest among all listed characters. His martial arts skill combined with the Ten Rings gives him versatility in battle. While not the strongest overall, his combat precision allows him to hold his own against more powerful enemies.
Tenoch Huerta as Namor also ranks among the potential threats to Doom. His strength and durability make him a close-range fighter capable of absorbing damage and delivering heavy physical attacks. His underwater abilities add another tactical advantage depending on the environment.
Finally, Tom Hiddleston as Loki is listed among the highest overall power scores, matching Thor in total stats. His intelligence, speed, and magical abilities make him unpredictable. Unlike others, Loki’s strength comes from strategy, illusion, and manipulation, which could allow him to outthink Doom rather than overpower him.
The combination of these characters shows that the film is building a wide range of strengths rather than relying on one type of hero. Some rely on brute force, others on intelligence or mystical abilities, and some on pure combat skill. This mix suggests that facing Doctor Doom will require more than just one approach, with each hero contributing in a different way to the larger battle.
