Blake Lively Criticized by ‘It Ends With Us’ Co-Star Over Justin Baldoni Feud
Actor Adam Mondschein is speaking out about the legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni following the recent settlement tied to It Ends With Us.
During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mondschein, who appeared in the film as a doctor in one of the movie’s most talked-about scenes, openly defended Baldoni and criticized Lively’s actions during the public legal battle.
Mondschein said the situation deeply affected Baldoni personally and professionally. He also made it clear that he believes the actor-director was treated unfairly throughout the dispute.
“I have very firm feelings about the actions that she took,” Mondschein said during the interview. “She hurt my friend and has been hurting my friend.”
Host Piers Morgan also shared his own opinion during the discussion and sided with Baldoni. He said, “I don’t have a shred of sympathy. I think this is entirely self-inflicted.”
The comments came shortly after news broke that Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni had reached a legal settlement, ending months of courtroom battles connected to the 2024 film adaptation of It Ends With Us. Reports say the agreement was finalized just weeks before the case was expected to go to trial in New York.
Even though the case has officially been settled, some legal issues may still continue. According to court documents obtained by TMZ and reports from Rolling Stone, Lively is still allowed to pursue attorney fees and damages connected to Baldoni’s dismissed defamation lawsuit against her.
Lively’s legal team called the settlement a major victory. In a statement shared with Rolling Stone, her attorneys Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson said, “By agreeing to this settlement, and waiving their right to appeal, Justin Baldoni and every individual defendant now face personal liability for abusing the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms. Lively.”
They also added, “From day one Blake Lively’s mission was clear: expose and hold accountable those who weaponize smear campaigns and retaliatory lawsuits to intimidate and silence survivors.”
The legal fight began in late 2024 when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a toxic environment during production. Her lawsuit included claims about inappropriate conversations, uncomfortable on-set situations, and alleged retaliation after tensions became public.
Baldoni strongly denied the accusations and later filed a massive countersuit against Lively, accusing her of defamation and interference with the film. That lawsuit was eventually dismissed by a judge. Baldoni had also filed a separate lawsuit against The New York Times over its reporting on the situation, but that case was dismissed as well.
Interestingly, despite supporting Baldoni publicly, Mondschein also admitted he feels sympathy for Lively in some ways.
“I feel sorry for her, ultimately,” he said. “I can’t imagine what it must be like to be inside of her mind.”
The entire situation became one of Hollywood’s biggest entertainment stories over the past year, especially because the movie itself was such a major release. Public reactions online were divided, with fans taking sides throughout the legal dispute.
At this point, the courtroom battle may be over, but the fallout around It Ends With Us is still continuing in public conversations and interviews. Many people are now wondering whether the cast and filmmakers involved will ever fully move past the controversy tied to the movie.
It feels like this situation became much bigger than the film itself. What started as behind-the-scenes tension turned into a very public and emotional fight that damaged reputations on all sides. Now that the legal battle is ending, many fans will probably hope everyone involved can finally move forward. What do you think about the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni situation?
