Meadow Walker Honors Paul Walker With Emotional ‘Fast & Furious’ Cast Reunion at Cannes
The cast of “The Fast and the Furious” came together once again at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13 to celebrate 25 years since the release of the original movie. The reunion also included a special appearance from Meadow Walker, daughter of late actor Paul Walker.
The event took place during the 79th Cannes Film Festival and featured a photocall ahead of a special midnight screening honoring the franchise’s legacy.
Meadow Walker, now 27, joined several original cast members including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster. The group gathered to mark the anniversary of the 2001 film that launched the global action franchise.
Meadow wore a black blazer with a Celine belt and posed for photos alongside the cast. She was also seen sharing a warm moment with Diesel, who embraced her during the event before they joined Brewster and Rodriguez for group photos.
Paul Walker, who starred in the first films of the franchise, died in a car crash in 2013 at the age of 40 before finishing his role in “Furious 7.” His daughter has continued to stay connected to the franchise and its cast over the years.
Meadow has appeared in the series before, including a cameo in “Fast X” in 2023. She also shares a close relationship with Diesel, who is her godfather.
A Cannes Film Festival press release highlighted the global success of the franchise, noting that the “Fast & Furious” films have earned more than 7 billion dollars worldwide. The statement also described the cast as one of the most diverse and exciting ensembles in modern blockbuster cinema.
The reunion at Cannes served both as a celebration of the franchise’s long history and as a tribute to Paul Walker’s lasting impact on the series and its fans.
