New ‘The Boys’ Finale Tease From Antony Starr Sparks Fear Among Fans
Antony Starr has teased the upcoming finale of The Boys with a new Instagram post, and fans are already trying to read between the lines.
The actor, who plays Homelander in the hit Prime Video series, shared behind-the-scenes photos showing him in a provocative pose on a desk in the Oval Office set and spending time with fellow cast members. Along with the images, he wrote: “King of the castle, in need of a hug….and adoration… Last episode next week. 507 up now #feltcute”
The post quickly drew attention in the comments, with one fan writing, “yall got a lot to wrap up next week”.
Starr replied directly, saying: “@dylanrandalls life is messy. Nothing ends up tidy…..🤌🏻😬😂🔥”.

His comment sparked discussion online, with many fans thinking the ending might not be clean or satisfying in a traditional way. Some took it as a hint that the finale could be chaotic or emotionally messy rather than neatly resolved.
Showrunner Eric Kripke also added to the hype by posting about the finale screening on his own Instagram. According to information shared by Kripke, he attended a special 4DX screening of the final episode with the Prime Video team.
He wrote: “Testing the @4dxusa screening of @theboystv finale with the @primevideo gang. Holy fuck. A literal ride. Those who scored tickets are in for a treat. Thanks for a moment I’ll never forget.”
The final episode will also get a limited theatrical-style release in select US cinemas before arriving on Prime Video. The 4DX version is expected to run for about one hour and five minutes, giving fans an immersive experience before the episode officially streams.

While no full synopsis has been released yet, the finale is expected to continue directly after the events of episode 7. That episode saw major changes in the story, including Kimiko gaining new powers after being exposed to uranium, making her a stronger weapon in the fight against Homelander. It also ended on a dark note after the death of Frenchie, which is expected to heavily impact Kimiko going forward.
The upcoming finale will likely mark the end of the main story for several characters, especially with Gen V canceled. However, the universe is still set to expand with upcoming projects like Vought Rising and the spin-off The Boys: Mexico.
