AMC+ is bringing a big part of Doctor Who to its streaming lineup, adding over a decade of episodes from the modern era of the long-running sci-fi series.

Starting June 11, AMC+ will stream 13 seasons of Doctor Who, covering the run from the Ninth Doctor through the Thirteenth Doctor. That includes the eras of Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker. In total, the deal brings more than 150 episodes to the platform.

The information comes from AMC Networks, which confirmed the licensing deal. The company said the move strengthens AMC+ as a destination for major genre franchises. Courtney Thomasma, executive vice president of AMC Global Media’s linear and streaming products, said in a statement, “Doctor Who strengthens AMC+’s position as a destination for premium genre storytelling — curated franchises defined by iconic worlds, passionate fan bases and enduring cultural impact. We’re thrilled to welcome the Whoniverse into our home of fandoms, giving longtime fans a reason to return while inviting new audiences to discover one of television’s most beloved franchises.”

The collection will not include the most recent two seasons of the show. Those episodes, which feature Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, remain exclusive to Disney+ in the United States because they were produced in partnership with the BBC and Disney.

Doctor Who has had a long history on U.S. television and streaming. BBC America, also owned by AMC Networks, previously served as its main U.S. home for many years. Earlier seasons even aired on the Sci Fi Channel, now known as Syfy.

With this new deal, AMC+ will sit alongside other major franchises on the platform, including The Walking Dead universe, Interview with the Vampire, Mayfair Witches, Dark Winds, and other classic AMC shows.

The arrival of Doctor Who on AMC+ adds another major sci-fi franchise to its catalog, giving both longtime fans and new viewers a single place to watch much of the modern series.
