As Prime Video gets ready to release the final episode of The Boys season 5, some of the cast have admitted they were worried about how the series could possibly wrap up such a huge story in just one finale episode.

Stars Erin Moriarty and Karen Fukuhara both shared their thoughts about the ending while teasing what fans can expect from the final chapter of the hit superhero series.

The Boys has been building toward this ending since 2019, following Billy Butcher, Hughie, Starlight, Kimiko, and the rest of the team as they tried to stop Homelander and Vought International. Season 4 ended with several major characters captured after Homelander declared martial law using superheroes, leaving season 5 with a lot of unfinished storylines heading into the finale.

Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko, admitted she was shocked after reading the script for the last episode. She explained that she honestly did not know how the creators would fit everything into one episode. “I remember thinking, I was reading the script and I was wondering how they were going to pack all of that in – ‘How will we ever find the time to pack it into one episode?’ – and they did it,” she said.

Erin Moriarty also teased the finale during the interview and revealed it is the episode she is most excited for fans to watch. While she avoided sharing details about the runtime, she hinted that the final episode is packed with major moments and surprises.

The cast has continued warning viewers that the ending will stay true to the brutal tone of the show. Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie, recently told Jimmy Fallon that fans should not expect a happy or simple ending. “No, it’s The Boys. It’s not going to be a fairytale ending in any regard. This is the final season, and we really do mean that,” Quaid said. He also teased that several important characters will die before the story ends.

Showrunner Eric Kripke has also spoken about the finale in recent interviews and social media posts, promising that the series will not hold back during its final episodes. The creator has made it clear that the last season was designed to deliver a chaotic and emotional conclusion while staying faithful to the violent and unpredictable style that made The Boys so popular in the first place.

The final season has already raised huge expectations among fans, especially after trailers teased massive confrontations between Butcher and Homelander. With so many storylines still unresolved, viewers are now waiting to see whether the finale can successfully bring one of Prime Video’s biggest shows to an end.
