‘Vampire Lestat’ Drops Wild New Look at Lestat’s Rock Star Era in a New Teaser and Fans Are Obsessed
AMC is giving fans another look at Interview with the Vampire season 3, and this time the spotlight is fully on Lestat’s wild rockstar era. The new teaser for The Vampire Lestat shows Sam Reid’s vampire stepping into full-on music icon mode as he prepares for a massive tour while embracing fame, chaos, and plenty of bloodshed along the way.
The teaser also comes with another original song from the upcoming season. After previously releasing tracks like “Long Face” and “All Fall Down,” the series is now teasing more music from Lestat’s fictional band. Composer Daniel Hart created 20 original songs for the season, with Reid performing them himself.
Season 3 marks a major shift for the AMC series because it now adapts Anne Rice’s 1985 novel The Vampire Lestat. Instead of Louis telling the story, Lestat takes over as narrator and finally gets to share his side of events with Daniel Molloy. The story follows him during a worldwide music tour as he becomes more powerful and famous, while also dealing with vampires and enemies drawn to his growing influence.
Showrunner Rolin Jones previously warned fans that the new season would feel very different from the first two. Speaking during San Diego Comic-Con, he said, “It’ll be contradictory and hallucinogenic and strange and wild.” The creative team wanted the season to feel bigger, louder, and more chaotic to match Lestat’s personality.
Sam Reid also opened up about how unusual the process was this season because he received the music before he got full scripts. Speaking to Collider, the actor explained, “Getting music before getting a script is a real mind-bleep, because I’d never done that before.” He added that once the story started coming together, he realized how detailed and ambitious the songs really were.

Alongside Reid, returning cast members include Jacob Anderson, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle. Several new actors are also joining the vampire drama as the series expands its world even further.
Interview with the Vampire season 3, officially titled The Vampire Lestat, premieres June 7 on AMC and AMC+.
