‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Rumor Suggests Kevin Feige Has Big Plans for a Fan-Favorite Character

A new rumor is circulating online about Avengers: Secret Wars and what Marvel Studios may be planning for its massive crossover story.

The claim suggests that Venom could be part of the film, although nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel.

The rumor comes from the social media account MyTimeToShineHello, which posted that Kevin Feige is interested in bringing Venom into Secret Wars. At this stage, it remains unverified and should be treated as speculation rather than confirmed information.

Interest in Venom joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not new. The character has long been linked to crossover theories involving Spider-Man and other heroes. Some of this speculation has been fueled by past comments from actors in the franchise.

Mark Ruffalo previously made remarks that fans interpreted as hints about future storylines for Spider-Man. He said, “I promise you 1000% that he will be fighting an alien in the future…” This comment led some fans to believe that Venom, as an alien symbiote, could eventually become part of a larger MCU storyline involving Peter Parker.

There has been no official confirmation that Venom will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars. However, the idea fits into ongoing fan discussions about how Marvel might use the multiverse to bring in characters from different studios and timelines.

Marvel Studios first announced Avengers: Secret Wars at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022. The screenplay is being written by Michael Waldron, with additional writing by Stephen McFeely. In July 2024, the Russo Brothers were confirmed as directors and producers, returning to the MCU after previously working on major Avengers films.

Filming for Secret Wars is currently expected to begin in mid-2026 at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom and is planned to last around six months. The film is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027.

For now, the idea of Venom appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars remains only a rumor, but it continues to fuel speculation as Marvel moves forward with one of its biggest upcoming projects.
