Sterling K. Brown reacted to the post and wrote, “I’m in!” under the comment section. That short reply was enough to set off a wave of speculation about whether he could be interested in playing Martian Manhunter in future DC projects. Screenshots of the comment spread across social media within hours on May 15, with fans debating the idea heavily.
The original Instagram post, shared by user twistedgodsinsta, was focused on possible casting ideas for upcoming DC Universe characters. Brown’s reply stood out the most, and entertainment pages quickly picked it up, turning a casual interaction into a trending topic.
Sterling K. Brown is already a well-known name in film and television. He is widely recognized for playing Randall Pearson in NBC’s This Is Us. He also appeared in Marvel’s Black Panther as N’Jobu and earned an Academy Award nomination for American Fiction. His recent work includes roles in Hulu’s Paradise and Amazon’s Washington Black.
The character fans are linking him to, Martian Manhunter, first appeared in Detective Comics #225 in 1955.
