Peacock has officially released the first trailer for season 3 of The Capture, giving fans a new look at the next chapter of the conspiracy thriller series led by Holliday Grainger and Ron Perlman. According to information released by Peacock, the new season will premiere on June 18 with six episodes.

The trailer brings viewers back into the world of surveillance, political secrets, and digital manipulation. Grainger returns as Rachel Carey, who is now leading the Counter Terrorism Command after exposing the government’s hidden deepfake program during season 2. This time, she faces another dangerous crisis tied to fake video technology and national security.

The new season focuses on a system called Operation Veritas, a surveillance program designed to detect digital manipulation in real time. But things quickly spiral out of control after a major terror attack in London. Rachel becomes the only witness connected to the incident, forcing her into another complicated investigation filled with political pressure and hidden agendas.

The official synopsis describes the story by saying, “It’s been twelve months since Rachel Carey broadcast a live deepfake of a government minister to the nation, exposing the UK intelligence service’s clandestine video manipulation program known as Correction.” The statement continues by explaining that Rachel is trying to restore trust in surveillance systems before a violent attack throws the country into chaos.

As the investigation deepens, Rachel finds herself pulled into a much larger conspiracy involving the British government, intelligence agencies, and the media. The season raises questions about power, manipulation, and who can really be trusted in a world where technology can easily distort reality.

The cast for season 3 also includes Killian Scott, Paapa Essiedu, Indira Varma, Linus Roache, Ben Miles, Lia Williams, Ginny Holder, Nigel Lindsay, Tessa Wong, and Andy Nyman.

The series is executive produced by Ben Chanan, David Heyman, Rosie Alison, Sue Gibbs, Derek Ritchie, Tom Coan, and Rebecca Ferguson. Season 3 is directed by Anthony Philipson, Johnny Allan, and Ben Chanan.
