The Boys is getting ready for its final episode, and the cast and crew recently came together ahead of the big release. Actors including Erin Moriarty and Daveed Diggs appeared together as excitement builds around the ending of the hit superhero series created by Eric Kripke.

The fifth and final season picks up right after the dramatic events of Season 4. The story follows Homelander, played by Antony Starr, as he gains more power after puppet President Steven Calhoun declares martial law across the United States. Supes are now being used to control the country, while Homelander targets anyone who stands against him.

One of his biggest enemies is Annie January, also known as Starlight, played by Erin Moriarty. Alongside Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, she continues fighting against Homelander and his growing control. While some members of The Boys manage to escape, others are captured and thrown into Homelander’s brutal “Freedom Camp.”

The season also brings back familiar faces including Hughie, played by Jack Quaid, Mother’s Milk, played by Laz Alonso, Frenchie, played by Tomer Capone, and Kimiko, played by Karen Fukuhara. Characters from the spinoff series Gen V also join the fight in the final season.

The last episodes have already shocked fans with several major deaths. According to the story, Homelander kills A-Train and Firecracker, while The Deep murders Black Noir II. Episode 7 also ends with the emotional death of Frenchie, showing that no character is truly safe before the finale.

Eric Kripke recently admitted he feels nervous about ending the series. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said, “What makes me most anxious about the final season is really hoping we land the plane.” He also explained how important finales are for fans, adding, “Fans will retroactively judge the show based on how they feel about the finale.”
