John Cena & Eric André Play a Chaotic Family in Netflix’s ‘Little Brother’ Trailer
Netflix has released the trailer for its new comedy film Little Brother, showing a chaotic and funny relationship between two men played by John Cena and Eric André.
The movie is directed by Matt Spicer, who is known for Ingrid Goes West. The story follows a successful real estate agent, played by Cena, whose carefully planned life gets turned upside down when his “little brother,” played by André, suddenly comes back into his life.
In the trailer, Cena’s character is clearly not happy about the situation. He says, “He’s not my actual brother,” and also adds, “The timing on this couldn’t be worse.”
The film also includes actors Michelle Monaghan, Christopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Ben Ahlers, Bryce Gheisar, and Pilot Bunch. It is set to be released on Netflix on June 26.
In one of the comedic moments shown in the trailer, André’s character tries to convince Monaghan’s character to support her husband. He says, “Our man is hurting right now,” and then adds, “You might want to think about eating that ass.”
In a recent interview with Extra, Cena talked about working with André and trying not to laugh during filming. He said, “They’re only going to show the seconds that I wasn’t laughing,” and added, “I honestly think we play off each other very well. He has an incredible sense of humor, and I’m a decent sounding board for that.”
The film is produced by David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer. It continues the recent work of both lead actors, with Cena appearing in upcoming films like Coyote vs. Acme and Matchbox: The Movie, while André is set to appear in Street Fighter and Animal Friends.
