‘Ironheart’ Star Sacha Baron Cohen Teases the Future for Borat & MCU’s Mephisto

Sacha Baron Cohen has shared new thoughts about the future of some of his most famous characters. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, he was asked which role might come back first, Borat or his Marvel character Mephisto. His answer gave a clear hint about where things may be headed next.

The actor has built his career around bold and unusual characters that often appear in surprising or real-world situations. Over the years, some of these roles have become global hits, while others have moved into bigger franchise worlds like Marvel. His latest comments now suggest that one of his most iconic characters may be retired for good.

In the interview, the actor gave a clear answer about what fans should expect. He said, “I think Mephisto. I don’t know if Borat will ever return.”

Sacha Baron Cohen is known for playing bold and unusual characters, often in real-world situations with real people. One of his most famous creations is Borat, who became a global sensation after the first film, which was both a box office success and an awards contender.

Borat first appeared many years ago, but the character became so well known that it became harder to use in the same way. Cohen stopped using the character for about 15 years before bringing him back for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 US election. That sequel may have been the last time the character was used in a major project.

Cohen also created other well-known characters like Ali G, who was used in interviews with real public figures. These roles helped build his reputation for mixing comedy with real-life reactions.

In more recent years, Cohen has also moved into different types of acting work. One of those roles is Mephisto, a character in the Marvel universe. Mephisto is a devil-like figure who offers people deals that come with serious consequences.

He appeared in the Disney+ series Ironheart, where he played a key role in the story. Mephisto is expected to return in future Marvel projects, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

For now, Cohen has made it clear that Mephisto looks more likely to return than Borat, even though both characters remain important parts of his career.
