A new leak has given fans a clearer idea of how Peter Parker and Bruce Banner may connect in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The information comes from France Figurines, which shared a short synopsis focusing on both characters and their struggles.

The synopsis says, “Bruce Banner uses an inhibitor that keeps him in human form..Banner and Peter Parker, both struggling with an uncontrollable transformation, find themselves in a narrative parallel at the heart of the film”. This suggests that both characters will deal with similar internal problems even though their powers come from very different places.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Early Buzz Calls It the Best Live-Action Spider-Man Yet

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

The story takes place after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the world has forgotten Peter Parker’s identity. Peter is now living alone in New York and working as a street-level hero again. At the same time, his powers are becoming unstable, which makes his life even more dangerous.

Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, is now working as a professor at Empire State University. He is trying to live a calm life after years of being the Hulk. The use of an inhibitor keeps him in human form, but the film hints that this control may not last forever. Banner becomes a key figure for Peter, who turns to him for help with his own unstable transformation.

The idea of both characters struggling with control is important for how the film may be structured. Peter is dealing with changes in his spider abilities, while Banner is dealing with the constant threat of losing control to the Hulk. Both characters understand what it means to fear what they can become, which creates a strong emotional link between them.

According to the same synopsis, the story places them in parallel situations rather than a simple mentor-student relationship. Instead of one teaching the other, both characters seem to reflect each other’s fears and choices. This could make their interactions more personal and more tense, especially as Peter tries to figure out what kind of hero he wants to become.

The film is also expected to include other major characters like Frank Castle / Punisher and Mac Gargan / Scorpion, adding more pressure to Peter’s already complicated situation in New York.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31, as part of Marvel’s Phase Six. If the leaked synopsis is accurate, the film may focus less on big team-ups and more on personal identity, control, and what it means to live with powers that are difficult to manage.
