Early reactions to Spider-Man: Brand New Day are already making serious noise online, with some viewers calling it the strongest live-action Spider-Man film yet.

The movie, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, is still months away from its July 31 release, but leaked screening impressions from NDA-covered early showings have started spreading across social media.

The film takes place four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker is now fully on his own in a world that has forgotten him. According to early descriptions shared by viewers and online posts, this version of Peter is dealing with heavier pressure as his powers begin to shift in unexpected ways. At the same time, a new and powerful enemy rises in New York, forcing him into some of his most intense battles yet.

One of the biggest talking points from the early reactions is the action. Several viewers have praised what they describe as a standout fight sequence that could be the best in the entire MCU. While this is not officially confirmed, the excitement around the action scenes has become one of the most repeated claims in early feedback.

Another major highlight is Sadie Sink’s role in the film. While Marvel has not officially confirmed her character, online speculation suggests she may be playing Jean Grey. Early viewers are reportedly calling her performance one of the strongest parts of the movie, with some even saying she steals the spotlight whenever she appears. One widely shared reaction post said, “Sadie Sink’s character is the best character in the movie and one of the best characters in the multiverse saga.”

The tone of the film is also being described as more balanced than expected. Early reactions mention a mix of humor and emotional weight, with Peter’s solo journey allowing for more personal storytelling. Some viewers have praised the movie’s comedy, calling it one of the funniest Spider-Man entries so far, along with strong use of music and “needle drops” during key scenes.

The cast also appears to be packed with major MCU connections. Jon Bernthal reportedly appears as the Punisher, while Hulk is also said to make an appearance. There are even mentions of The Hand being involved in parts of the story, suggesting a more grounded but intense street-level conflict running alongside the larger threats.

Not everything is being praised equally. Some early viewers have pointed out that the ending may divide audiences. While many reactions are still overwhelmingly positive, a few have said the final act did not land as strongly as the rest of the film.

One viral reaction summary posted online stated, “Best live action Spider-Man movie and top ten in the MCU. The movie was hilarious. The score was 9.5/10 but they didn’t like the ending.”

It is important to note that these reactions come from unofficial early screenings and social media posts, and films often change significantly before release. Still, the overall buzz is strong, with many fans now viewing Brand New Day as one of the most anticipated MCU films in Phase Six.
