The New York Knicks are in the NBA Finals, and actress Kate Hudson celebrated the big news in the most perfect way possible. She decided to throw things all the way back to 2003, reminding everyone of the time she famously watched a massive basketball game on the big screen.

Hudson, who actually stars in a basketball comedy show on Netflix called Running Point, went to Instagram to share her excitement. She posted two old photos of herself sitting courtside at a Knicks game. In the pictures, she is sitting right next to actor Matthew McConaughey, who is wearing a classic blue and orange Knicks shirt.

But these were not just random pictures from a normal night out. The photos are actually famous scenes from their classic romantic comedy movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

If you have never seen the movie, McConaughey plays a guy named Ben and Hudson plays a girl named Andie. They meet because they are both secretly trying to win bets with people at their jobs. Ben works in advertising and has to prove he can make a woman fall in love with him in just 10 days to get a huge project. Meanwhile, Andie writes for a magazine and needs to make a guy break up with her in 10 days so she can finally write about serious topics.

These opposite goals cause a ton of funny problems, especially during a trip to see the Knicks. In the movie, Andie waits until there is only 1 minute and 9 seconds left in a tight game to tell Ben she is incredibly thirsty and needs a soda.

Ben runs to get the drink, but she sends him back again. Because of her bad timing, Ben misses a huge, last-second shot by player Latrell Sprewell that wins the game against the Kings.

Now, more than two decades after that movie came out, the real Knicks are one of the last two teams left standing in the basketball playoffs. The New York team is doing great and currently leads the San Antonio Spurs 1-0 in the championship series. The two teams are scheduled to play their next big game on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

People are betting big bucks on who will win it all. According to a betting and Polymarket, the predictions are shifting wildly. Before the series even started, people trading on the platform thought the Spurs would win the championship, giving them a 64% chance to take the trophy home.

However, everything changed after New York won the very first game. The traders on Polymarket quickly flipped their guesses. Now, the Knicks have a 52% chance to win the whole thing, while the Spurs have dropped down to a 48% chance. These betting numbers are definitely going to keep moving up and down as the series goes on, changing with the results of every single game.
