Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman Spotted Filming ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 in New York
Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman have been seen filming new scenes for Dexter: Resurrection season 2 in Uptown Manhattan, New York City.
The two actors were spotted on location while cameras were rolling for the upcoming season of the Showtime and Paramount+ series. Director Marcos Siega was also present during the shoot as filming continued through the streets of the neighborhood. The production appears to be in full swing as the second season is being developed.
On set, Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman were seen interacting between takes. At one moment, Hall was leaning against a black SUV while speaking with Thurman. Later, he was seen walking through the area as filming moved forward.
The actors’ wardrobe reflected their characters’ styles in the series. Michael C. Hall wore a simple and casual outfit, including a charcoal short-sleeve button-down shirt, black pants, and dark sneakers. Uma Thurman, known for her role in Kill Bill, appeared in a sharp all-black outfit that included a cropped leather jacket, belted trousers, loafers, and aviator sunglasses.
The series Dexter: Resurrection continues the story from Dexter: New Blood. In the first season of the sequel series, Dexter Morgan wakes up from a coma after being shot by his son Harrison. He then travels to New York City in search of Harrison, but his past slowly catches up with him.
The new season is expected to continue exploring Dexter’s complicated life in New York. According to early plot descriptions, Dexter becomes caught between two different killers, one already known from his past and another new threat creating fear in the city. At the same time, Harrison is also following his own path, dealing with his own sense of justice.
The show is developed by Clyde Phillips and is part of the larger Dexter franchise. It follows the original Dexter series and Dexter: New Blood, both of which centered on the life of Dexter Morgan, a forensic expert with a hidden dark side. Michael C. Hall returns once again in the lead role, continuing the character he first played in 2006.
The cast for Dexter: Resurrection includes several well-known names. Alongside Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman, the series features Jack Alcott, David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, James Remar, and Peter Dinklage. According to earlier announcements, Brian Cox has also joined the second season in a major role, adding more attention to the upcoming episodes.

Production on the second season began earlier in the year after the series was officially renewed in October 2025. The first season premiered on July 11, 2025, on Paramount+ with Showtime and ran for ten episodes.
The story in season 2 is expected to go deeper into Dexter’s emotional and psychological struggles while also expanding the crime elements in New York City. Harrison’s storyline will also continue to develop as both father and son face new challenges in a city full of danger and secrets.
As filming continues in Manhattan, fans are getting early glimpses of what the next chapter of Dexter: Resurrection will look like, with its main cast returning and new characters joining the story.
