Dexter (Franchise)

Dexter is an American crime drama series that originally aired on Showtime from 2006 to 2013. It follows Dexter Morgan, a forensic expert who secretly lives a double life as a vigilante serial killer targeting criminals who escape justice. The series, based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel *Darkly Dreaming Dexter*, received strong reviews, major awards, and high viewership throughout its run, especially in later seasons.

The franchise has since expanded with several spin-offs, including *Dexter: New Blood* and *Dexter: Resurrection*, which continue Dexter’s story with Michael C. Hall returning in the lead role, as well as the prequel series *Dexter: Original Sin*, which explores his early life.
