Netflix’s newest mystery series, I Will Find You, has officially arrived, and critics are already sharing their thoughts on the latest adaptation from bestselling author Harlan Coben.

The eight-part thriller, based on Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, premiered on June 18, 2026, bringing another one of the author’s twist-filled stories to the streaming platform. Coben serves as an executive producer on the series, which stars Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Erin Richards.

The story follows David Burroughs, played by Worthington, a man who has spent years in prison after being wrongly convicted of murdering his young son. His entire life changes when he receives shocking information suggesting that his son may still be alive. What follows is a desperate search filled with secrets, hidden truths, and a race to uncover what really happened.

The first reviews are now in, and the series currently holds a 71% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on seven critic reviews.

Some critics praised the show for delivering the kind of fast-paced mystery that fans expect from Coben’s work. Screen Rant gave the series a positive review, calling it a gripping mystery that quickly pulls viewers in. The outlet noted that while the show has some weaker moments, it still delivers a “wild, twisting ride” that keeps audiences interested until the end.

Heaven of Horror was also impressed with the series, praising the combination of crime mystery and conspiracy thriller elements. The review described the show as an intense journey that explores both the best and worst sides of human nature.

Meanwhile, Collider gave the series a more mixed but still positive reaction. The review suggested that I Will Find You does not completely reinvent the mystery genre but remains an enjoyable binge-watch for fans of Coben’s previous Netflix adaptations.

However, not every critic was convinced. Next Best Picture gave the series a lower score, arguing that the emotional moments do not always have enough buildup. The review explained that while the mystery works, the story struggles to create the deeper emotional connection it aims for.

The Daily Beast also criticized the show’s dramatic style, describing it as “overflowing with the sort of junk-food melodrama that’ll make viewers crave additional servings.”

Despite the mixed reactions, the early reviews suggest that I Will Find You delivers exactly what many viewers expect from a Harlan Coben adaptation: a complicated mystery full of surprises, dramatic reveals, and characters hiding major secrets.

The series joins Netflix’s growing collection of Coben adaptations, including Fool Me Once, Stay Close, and The Stranger. While critics may disagree about its emotional depth, fans of the author’s signature twists may find I Will Find You another addictive mystery worth finishing in one sitting.
