Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 may be bringing one of Marvel’s strongest street-level heroes back into the spotlight. A newly surfaced behind-the-scenes video appears to show stunt rehearsals for an action sequence involving Luke Cage, sparking excitement among fans who have been waiting to see more of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The footage, which began circulating online, shows a stunt performer who looks similar to Mike Colter preparing for a fight scene on what appears to be a New York rooftop. While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed what the scene is for, fans believe it is connected to Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 because members of the production team were spotted wearing Daredevil and Punisher-themed clothing.

The possible return of Luke Cage is not a huge surprise. The character already appeared in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, with Colter returning to his role as the super-powered defender of Harlem. Now, it seems Season 3 could expand his involvement and give fans a much bigger look at what he can do in action.

Luke Cage has always been one of Marvel’s most physically powerful heroes. His super strength and unbreakable skin make him a perfect match for the darker, street-level world of Daredevil. With Matt Murdock facing major challenges after the events of Season 2, bringing Luke back could help expand the team of heroes protecting New York.

The possibility of seeing more characters from the former Netflix Marvel shows has also increased excitement around the series. Jessica Jones has already returned through Krysten Ritter, while Iron Fist is expected by many fans to eventually join the story.

Action director Philip J. Silvera previously teased that fans should expect surprises involving returning heroes. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Silvera hinted at plans for the wider Defenders lineup, saying, “I think everyone’s going to be surprised with the way we’re leaning into the return of certain characters.”

That comment has only fueled speculation that Marvel Studios is building toward a larger street-level superhero story featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.

The leaked rehearsal video also suggests that Marvel is putting serious effort into Luke Cage’s action scenes. The character’s fighting style is very different from Daredevil’s fast and precise movements, meaning Season 3 could give viewers a completely different kind of superhero combat.

Fans have been asking for more of Colter’s Luke Cage since the character’s original Netflix series ended. Many believe Marvel now has the chance to bring him back with a larger budget, bigger action sequences, and a stronger connection to the wider MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is still in production, so details remain limited. However, if this new set footage is truly connected to Luke Cage, it could be a major sign that Marvel is preparing another big Defenders reunion.
