Kingpin Is Back in His White Suit and He’s Already Getting Bloody in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Set Photos
Wilson Fisk has always been a man defined by his wardrobe. The pristine white suit, the immaculate tie, the deliberate authority of every outfit choice, for over a decade, Vincent D’Onofrio has worn the Kingpin of Crime like a second skin, and every costume choice has told its own story about where the character stands in the MCU’s food chain. That visual language is what makes the latest batch of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 set photos so immediately arresting.
New images shared by @WarlingHD on June 24 show D’Onofrio back on the Brooklyn streets of New York City, and the Kingpin has reclaimed his signature white suit. The tailored look is unmistakably Fisk at the height of his power, a sharp contrast to the earlier Season 3 set photos that showed the character wandering the city in a long coat, beanie, and thick white beard.
What stands out even more than the outfit, however, is what the outfit is doing: the white jacket is visibly stained with blood around the collar, suggesting Fisk is walking away from something violent, something personal, and something very far from his days as a polished mayor.
Earlier Season 3 set photos showed Fisk bearded and in unassuming clothing, a far cry from his signature white suit, with faded campaign posters for Sheila Rivera’s mayoral run visible in the background.
That imagery painted a picture of a man in retreat, someone trying to disappear into New York rather than own it. The return of the white suit in the June 24 photos tells a very different story, suggesting Fisk’s exile did not last long before old instincts reasserted themselves.
D’Onofrio himself has been clear-eyed about what the Season 2 finale cost his character emotionally, and what that means going forward. Speaking to GamesRadar+, he said, “It’s very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season. It’s a very different feel. We pick up from what those events have done to him in the third season. You get to meet him and what he’s become after that.” The bloodied white suit visible in the new photos feels very much like the first answer to that question.
Charlie Cox described the upcoming season as feeling like the show has “shed the skin of the Mayor Fisk era” and called it “a new book, a new dawn a little bit.” That reset extends to virtually every major character. Matt Murdock is reportedly in prison following his public reveal as Daredevil in the Season 2 finale, while Fisk walks free, grief-stricken and unshackled from the political constraints that once kept his worst impulses partially in check.
D’Onofrio recently addressed how Vanessa’s death will affect Fisk going forward, saying, “I think it damages him in a deep, deep way. I think that it’s going to take some doing to shock himself out of that somehow.” A man that damaged, wearing a bloodstained white suit and walking New York’s streets without a mayor’s title or a wife to anchor him, is arguably more dangerous than anything the series has shown before.
With Daredevil behind bars, the task of holding New York together falls to others. The season brings back Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand, joining Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, marking the first full on-screen Defenders reunion since the Netflix era. Set photos have confirmed all three filming together in New York, with Danielle Cage, the young daughter of Luke and Jessica, also part of the action.

Principal photography began in March and is set to wrap in July, with the season scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027 as part of Phase Six of the MCU. Production is running under the working title Out the Kitchen, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead among the returning directors. Every week of new set leaks has raised the anticipation further, and the June 24 images of a blood-splattered Fisk suggest the season is not pulling any punches on the darkness front.
The question now is not whether Kingpin will be a threat in Season 3. The white suit with that scarlet stain has already answered that. The question is who, or what, he left behind on his way out the door. Drop your theories in the comments and let us know what you think Fisk has been up to.
