‘Batwoman’ Star Ruby Rose Reveals Shocking Video of Pool Accident That Left Her With Multiple Broken Ribs

Ruby Rose is recovering after a painful accident at home left her with multiple broken ribs. The actress and model shared a video of the scary moment on social media, showing how a simple walk around her swimming pool ended with a trip to the hospital and a long recovery ahead.

According to Rose’s posts on Threads and Instagram, the accident happened when she slipped near her outdoor pool. In the video, the 40-year-old actress can be seen walking around the edge of the pool while holding what appears to be a hose. She suddenly loses her balance, falls backward, hits the side of the pool area, and lands in the water.

After the fall, Rose can be seen swimming away while holding her side. She later explained that the impact caused serious pain and resulted in broken ribs.” Please come and take me out. I brought this upon myself,” Rose wrote alongside the video on Threads.

She explained that she landed directly on the right side of her ribs, breaking the bottom two. Rose also said she now has to use a breathing machine while recovering from the injury.

The actress shared another update on Instagram, revealing that she was hospitalized after the accident. She joked about the situation while also making it clear that the injury has been difficult.

“RIP to my ribs and to the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple,” Rose wrote over the video. She also added, “Straight to hospital, did not go pass go or collect 200 dollars.”

Rose continued to share details about her recovery, saying she is dealing with significant pain. “I’ve just broken two ribs, falling into my own pool backwards,” she wrote, adding that she did not want to wear a bra or even stand up because of the discomfort.

The injury is not the first serious rib-related accident Rose has experienced. The actress also remembered a difficult moment from 2019 when she was filming the superhero series Batwoman. Rose said she returned to work shortly after breaking a rib and suffering a neck injury during production.

Looking back at that experience, Rose questioned why she pushed herself to continue filming despite being in pain. “I’m sorry, but what in the f—ing dissociation and self-abandonment did I do to return to work on Batwoman the day after breaking my rib and neck?” Rose wrote. “My rib was killing me!! I couldn’t feel my legs or hands; I was in a batsuit!”

Rose played Kate Kane, the cousin of Bruce Wayne, in the first season of Batwoman. She left the series in 2020 after one season. The actress is now focusing on healing and taking time away from work. In another message to fans, Rose asked for recommendations for books and shows to help her pass the time during recovery.

“This is going to take many weeks,” she wrote. Despite the painful situation, Rose has kept her sense of humor while sharing updates with her followers. The actress is best known for roles in Orange Is the New Black, Batwoman, and films including Dirty Angels, and she continues to receive support from fans as she recovers from the unexpected accident.
