The same leak points to several other new additions joining the roster, including a world based on ‘The Haunted Mansion’ and another built around ‘Zootopia,’ both of which would mark the first time either property has appeared in the franchise. Returning fan favorites are also included, with Toy Story’s Toy Box making a comeback after its debut in ‘Kingdom Hearts 3,’ alongside the Underworld setting from ‘Hercules,’ which last appeared back in ‘Kingdom Hearts 2.’

Two of the leaked world names have already sparked their own wave of speculation among fans trying to decode what they might actually represent. One, titled “Monochrome Origins,” is widely believed to reference Disney’s earliest black-and-white cartoons like ‘Steamboat Willie,’ potentially functioning similarly to the Timeless River world from ‘Kingdom Hearts 2.’ The other, called “Imagineer Planet,” has fans guessing it could be tied to Disney’s real-world theme park engineers, known within the company as Imagineers.

That leak arrives just months after Square Enix finally broke a long drought of official news at a recent Nintendo Direct, where a new trailer confirmed ‘Kingdom Hearts 4’ is headed to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its previously announced PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC release. The trailer also offered fresh story details, showing Sora battling Heartless across the game’s newly introduced real-world setting, Quadratum, while a mysterious figure in Organization XIII’s signature black coat hinted that this new world may exist entirely outside the light-versus-darkness conflict that’s defined the series for decades.

That narrative shift lines up with Square Enix’s earlier confirmation that ‘Kingdom Hearts 4’ will kick off the franchise’s new Lost Master Arc, following the conclusion of the long-running Dark Seeker Saga. With a firm 2027 release window now attached to the game, fans finally have a rough sense of when they’ll get to see how all these new worlds fit into Sora’s next chapter.

For a franchise that has spent years teasing the idea of Disney’s biggest acquisitions crossing over into its universe, confirmation of a ‘Star Wars’ world represents a genuinely significant moment.
