Marvel’s marketing machine for ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ has been running at full speed for months, and merchandise has become just as big a part of that rollout as trailers and presale numbers. Between record-breaking box office presales and a viral cast-reveal livestream, the studio has left almost no stone unturned in building anticipation ahead of the film’s December release.

Toy manufacturers have been just as eager to get in on the action. Hot Toys, the Hong Kong-based collectible giant known for its highly detailed figures, has spent recent months rolling out an extensive lineup of 1/6 scale collectibles tied to the film, including figures of Doctor Doom, Magneto, Cyclops, Gambit, and Thor, each offered in multiple premium versions.

Now, the studio has expanded that lineup with something far more compact and playful. A new Cosbi Bobble-Head and Plush Keychain collection tied to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been revealed, giving fans a smaller, more affordable way to collect characters from the film without committing to the premium price point of a full-scale figure.

Cosbi collectibles have become a recognizable staple of Marvel merchandise in recent years, typically sold as blind-box mystery figures featuring simplified, chibi-style designs of characters from across the franchise. Previous Cosbi lines have covered everything from the Fantastic Four to Marvel’s Disney+ series, giving the format a track record of turning even minor characters into desirable collector’s items.

That mystery-box format appears to be carrying over into the new Doomsday-themed set, based on the reveal images showing an array of characters posed against a dramatic, storm-lit backdrop consistent with the film’s marketing aesthetic. The plush keychain line offers a softer, more portable alternative to the bobble-heads, giving fans two distinct ways to collect characters from the same roster.

This kind of smaller-scale merchandise push fits a pattern Marvel has leaned into throughout the Doomsday campaign, where even minor product reveals have occasionally offered fans their first unofficial glimpses at character designs. Earlier this year, a keychain discovered at a Spencer’s retail store gave fans one of their first unconfirmed looks at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom months before any official studio imagery was released.

That kind of merchandise-driven reveal has become part of the fun for fans following the film’s rollout, since official costume and character details are often scarce compared to how much toy and collectible imagery leaks or gets revealed through licensing channels first.
