Netflix’s breakout rom-com ‘Nobody Wants This‘ has spent two seasons turning an agnostic podcaster and an unconventional rabbi into one of streaming’s most talked-about couples, and fans have been counting down the days for their next chapter. The show’s mix of genuine chemistry and messy family dynamics is exactly what turned Joanne and Noah into a certified pop culture obsession.

That wait is almost over. Season 2 left things on an emotionally charged note, with Joanne and Noah finally choosing each other for real after a season’s worth of will-they-won’t-they tension and family interference threatening to pull them apart.

Netflix has now confirmed ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3 will premiere on Thursday, October 22, releasing the first batch of official photos alongside the announcement. The images show Joanne and Noah surrounded by moving boxes, signaling the next major milestone in their relationship after finally recommitting to one another.

According to Netflix’s official synopsis, Season 3 finds Joanne and Noah moving into a home and a relationship that finally feels solid, embracing every exciting “first” that comes with building a life together. Meanwhile, Sasha and Esther are thrust back into the dating world whether they like it or not, while Morgan takes her career to the next level.

Co-showrunner Jenni Konner described the new season as the show’s biggest and boldest yet, telling VitalThrills that this season feels like champagne. Creator Erin Foster echoed that sentiment, revealing the writers’ room used a simple litmus test for every new storyline this year, asking whether it felt like champagne before moving forward with it.

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are of course back as Joanne and Noah, alongside returning cast members Justine Lupe as Morgan, Timothy Simons as Sasha, and Jackie Tohn as Esther. Also returning are Shiloh Bearman, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor, and Tovah Feldshuh.

The new season is also bringing in a notably stacked lineup of new and recurring faces. Andrew Rannells and Keyla Monterroso Mejia will recur as Joanne’s conversion classmates Sebastien and Amber, while comedian Sarah Silverman joins as their Intro to Judaism teacher, Rabbi Eden.

Rounding out the guest cast are Avan Jogia, Poorna Jagannathan, Sadie Sandler, Stephanie Koenig, and Steven Weber, along with series creator Erin Foster herself making an onscreen appearance. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan return as showrunners and executive producers alongside Foster, Bell, Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton.

One of the more interesting shifts heading into Season 3 is that the show is moving past its central will-they-won’t-they setup entirely. Instead of chasing the typical rom-com grand gesture, the new season is digging into what happens after the couple has already decided they’re in it for the long haul, a phase most romantic comedies skip entirely once the credits are ready to roll.
