‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Location Posters Give Wakanda and the Baxter Building the Doom Treatment
Marvel Studios has spent months building hype for ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ with a steady flow of posters, teasers and display art. Much of it has centered on Doctor Doom, but the studio has also used marketing to hint at where the story will take place. Now a new set of images is giving fans another look at the film’s locations.
That strategy started earlier this year. Marketing artwork highlighted 4 bases tied to Marvel’s biggest teams: Avengers Headquarters, the X-Mansion, the Baxter Building and Wakanda. A later display shared by Marvel Japan swapped the Avengers “A” logo, placed in front of what looks like a window in Doom’s Latverian castle, for logos of the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and the Wakandans.
The latest images were shared by Cosmic Marvel on X, crediting the photo to fan account I_Am_Not_Doom, with the caption calling them the first posters for the locations in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The post drew more than 45,000 views. The pictures appear to show 2 posters framed behind glass, both drenched in the same green glow that has defined Doom-themed marketing.

The first poster shows a futuristic city skyline inside what looks like a Black Panther mask outline, which suggests Wakanda. The second shows a tower marked with an emblem resembling the Fantastic Four’s “4” logo, along with a Marvel Studios logo at the bottom, pointing to the Baxter Building. The photos do not make clear where the posters are displayed, and Marvel has not announced them in the sources reviewed here.
Wakanda is expected to be a key setting. Earlier marketing highlighted the nation’s towering buildings and skyscrapers, which suggested the action could return there as it did in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. The difference this time is that Wakanda will have allies in the underwater nation of Talokan, following the alliance forged between Shuri and Namor in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
The teasers have also leaned into Wakanda. A fourth ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ teaser showed King M’Baku, played by Winston Duke, meeting the Thing, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, in the desert. Letitia Wright’s Shuri, who took on the Black Panther mantle, appears in new armor, and Namor appears alongside her in an updated costume.
The Baxter Building, the Fantastic Four’s headquarters, was introduced on screen in 2025 with ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’. Its inclusion in the marketing suggests the story will spend time in the Fantastic Four’s universe before the team comes to Earth-616. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that multiple characters from different teams convene at the building during the film.
Feige said the Baxter Building set would have far more people in it than the 4 or 5 it held in the standalone Fantastic Four movie. That fits the film’s premise, which follows heroes from 3 distinct universes set on a deadly collision course. The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Moss-Bachrach as the Fantastic Four.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters everywhere December 18. Get your tickets now: https://t.co/J5PUbxvAkc pic.twitter.com/OUutSMZneq
The film arrives on Dec. 18, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. It will be released in Infinity Vision, a certification for Premium Large Format theaters that promises big screens, bright images and outstanding sound. Tickets for those screens went on sale on July 20 alongside the first trailer, and tickets expanded to cinemas everywhere in August.
‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ follows on Dec. 17, 2027. Marvel’s campaign has focused heavily on Doom through poster after poster, while location art like this suggests the studio is saving more detail for later in the run. Fans have taken to dissecting every background element, from the green glow to the building shapes.
With roughly 2 and a half months until release, more reveals are likely. A second trailer, further posters and possibly more location art could help fill in how the multiverse conflict plays out. For now, a pair of glowing green posters has given the fandom something new to analyze.
Which location are you most excited to see in the movie?
