‘Baywatch’ Star Livvy Dunne Celebrates Her Birthday in Style With a Poolside Bahamas Getaway
Livvy Dunne has never been shy about turning her birthday into a social media event. Every Oct. 1, fans have come to expect a fresh round of celebratory posts from the former LSU gymnast. This year, her 24th birthday took her far from campus and straight to the beach.
Dunne was born Oct. 1, 2002, and made her name as an LSU gymnast before a kneecap avulsion fracture ended her NCAA career. She announced her retirement from gymnastics on April 17, 2025. Since then, her career has taken a diverse turn, with modeling, social media and, most recently, acting.
The star flew to the Bahamas for the milestone, and she shared everything on Instagram. The photos show her in a light blue bikini with white details and a birthday tiara. The carousel shows her sipping an orange drink in front of an infinity pool and turquoise water. The Instagram post was shared Thursday, on her birthday.
Dunne shared five pictures from the celebration. In the cover image she wears a pastel light blue triangle bikini set with a thin silver rhinestone “Birthday Girl” tiara headband, with one hand on her hip. Another picture shows her in the pool, shot from behind.
Dunne joked in the caption that she is already washed up at 24, a playful nod to her retirement from competitive gymnastics. The getaway was a couple’s affair. Another photo shows boyfriend Paul Skenes holding her by the pool, and she described the trip on her Instagram Stories as a birthday bender.
Skenes also marked the day with his own Instagram post, sharing 4 pictures of Dunne with a heartfelt message. The Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher’s season recently wrapped up, which gave the couple time for a vacation. Dunne even celebrated his final strikeout of the season, which brought him to 200, in an Instagram Story.
The comments section quickly filled with well wishes. The wives and girlfriends of several MLB players sent birthday greetings, including the wives of Bryan Reynolds, Bryce Harper, Brandon Lowe and Gunnar Henderson. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day also wished her a happy birthday, and Dunne replied with a warm thank you.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit used the occasion to look back at her 4 consecutive photo shoots with the brand, calling her a staple of the SI Swimsuit family. Her most recent shoot was in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico, photographed by James Macari. The tribute shows how much her modeling career has grown.
Dunne and Skenes first met at LSU, where he was a star pitcher before being drafted by the Pirates. They have been romantically linked since 2023 and have become one of sports’ most-followed young couples. Earlier this year, she celebrated his 24th birthday with throwback photos on her Instagram Stories, including one with their dog, Roux.
Last year, Skenes also pulled off an elaborate surprise for her birthday, according to SI. That history helps explain why fans watch her birthday posts so closely. This year’s getaway continues the pattern.
The birthday arrives during one of the busiest stretches of her career. Dunne was cast in a recurring role as Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard, in the ‘Baywatch’ reboot, according to Deadline. She announced the news in March with a post about reading her new script, and she has reportedly been taking acting lessons ahead of her debut.
TheBigLead noted that, as the premiere of ‘Baywatch’ inches closer, fans can expect more late-night appearances and an aggressive press tour. She has also continued her modeling work and revealed earlier this year that she took part in a USO tour. Between the show and the magazine work, 2026 has turned into one of her busiest years so far.
For now, her focus is on vacation. If the pattern of past birthdays holds, there are likely more posts to come from the Bahamas trip. With the offseason underway for Skenes and ‘Baywatch’ on the horizon, it looks like a big year ahead for the couple.
