‘Eden’ Star Ana de Armas Goes Dark and Daring in Black Leather at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week Show

Ana de Armas has never been shy about her relationship with Louis Vuitton. As a brand ambassador, she has become a familiar face on the front row in Paris, where her outfits often lean into sleek, moody silhouettes that suit the house’s aesthetic.

This week, that relationship has been on full display. Over a few days, she has appeared at a private dinner, a ceremony honoring the brand’s creative director and, finally, the label’s Spring 2027 show.

On Tuesday, the ‘Ballerina’ actress arrived at the Louis Vuitton show in a black leather piece with a deep plunging neckline and buckled detailing along the sides. A short video of her arrival shared by a fan account shows her with her dark hair swept back and flowing, a star-shaped drop earring catching the light and a delicate necklace falling down the open neckline. She is seen glancing off to the side with a small smile in front of a crowd gathered outside the venue.

The jacket is the centerpiece. Its structured shoulders and sharp lapels give it a tailored feel, while the side hardware adds a rock-and-roll edge that sets it apart from a standard blazer. The plunging neckline keeps the look sensual without losing the severity of the leather.

Black has become something of a signature for de Armas at these events. At the previous season’s show she wore a black studded sweater with a subtle LV diamond engraving, along with a matching mini skirt and knee-high boots, and carried a black Side Trunk bag. Tuesday’s look follows the same palette but trades knitwear for sharper tailoring.

The show was the end of a packed few days. On Monday night, de Armas attended a private Louis Vuitton dinner in Paris alongside Emma Stone, Chloë Grace Moretz, Sophie Thatcher, the Haim sisters and Jaden Smith. Photos from the evening show her in a sparkling beige sequined top, a black leather mini skirt and knee-high black leather boots, carrying a structured Louis Vuitton clutch with gold trim.

Earlier in the weekend, she joined creative director Nicolas Ghesquière at the Palais de l’Élysée, where French President Emmanuel Macron presented him with the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur. For the occasion, de Armas dipped into the archives and wore a black sequin micro minidress from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, styled by Samantha McMillen. Jennifer Connelly wore the same design in 2014, and the dress still looks current 12 years later.

De Armas was far from alone at Tuesday’s show. Emma Stone arrived in a plunging blue blazer, Zendaya wore a dramatic white ruffled jacket, and Rhea Seehorn and Jennifer Connelly were also among the famous faces, according to the Press Association.

The guest list is a regular feature of Louis Vuitton’s Paris presentations, which tend to bring together film, fashion and music names in one place. De Armas has been part of that group for several seasons, appearing in everything from a sheer lace dress in a previous year to a white backless outfit at the March show.

What keeps her appearances interesting is the range. She has moved from romantic lace to stark white cutouts to studded black knitwear, and each outfit has tended to suit the collection it accompanies. Tuesday’s black leather jacket fits that pattern, with its mix of polish and attitude.

It also fits the mood of the season so far. Leather, strong shoulders and dramatic necklines have turned up repeatedly on celebrity guests at Paris Fashion Week, and de Armas has joined that trend with her own take on it.

Paris Fashion Week is still underway, with more shows and more celebrity appearances ahead. For now, her black leather arrival at Louis Vuitton is one of the strongest looks to come out of Tuesday’s front row.
