Paris in early October has a way of pulling the entertainment world into its orbit. Paris Fashion Week is running through early October, and the French capital has once again drawn a long list of A-list stars. Between front-row seats and off-duty outings, the city turns into a nonstop photo op.

Ana de Armas knows that scene well. Last year, she attended the Louis Vuitton show in a black oversized sweater, a mini skirt, knee-high boots and a messy ponytail, and fans quickly filled social media with compliments. In March, she returned to Louis Vuitton in a high-neck white midi dress, carrying a black Noe Trunk bag.

Now she is back in the conversation. The actress shared photos on Instagram. The images show her in a black sequined mini dress, her dark hair falling in loose waves.

The dress has long sleeves, a high neckline and subtly structured shoulders that give the silhouette a polished, modern edge. Her makeup is understated, with a warm, natural finish that lets the shimmering fabric take center stage. It is not clear from the post what the occasion was, if there was one at all.

The photos appear to have been taken indoors near sheer white curtains and a mirror, which gives them a relaxed, behind-the-scenes feel before a night out. That fits the screenshot, where a mirror reflects the back of the dress in one frame. The setting keeps the focus squarely on the sequins.

The look also fits a pattern. Earlier this year, she wore a black dress on the Golden Globes red carpet, where she presented Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama alongside Chris Pine. The sequins read as a confident return to the sleek, black-on-black aesthetic that has become something of a signature for her Paris appearances.

Not every Paris look has landed the same way. In March, she shared an Instagram carousel from Paris Fashion Week showing an ivory Louis Vuitton dress with a bold cutout in the back. Her satin look at that show drew a more mixed reaction from critics at Tom + Lorenzo.

The Paris photos also follow a quieter stretch online. Just days ago, she broke that silence on Instagram with a carousel of 11 photos and 2 videos, with clues pointing to a trip to Greece, including an aerial view of the island of Lefkada. Those posts showed a much more relaxed side of the actress than a sequined mini does.

Off the fashion circuit, her calendar is filling up. Her most recent credit came in 2025’s ‘Ballerina,’ and she has not had a new acting release in 2026. Upcoming projects include the psychological thriller ‘Sweat,’ the Apple TV+ drama ‘Safe Houses’ with Jennifer Connelly, Doug Liman’s ‘Deeper’ alongside Tom Cruise, and the espionage thriller ‘Impunity’ opposite Sebastian Stan.

‘Deeper’ is described as following an astronaut who encounters a terrifying force while on a deep dive into a never-before-explored trench. None of her upcoming projects currently has a confirmed release date. Until one does, fans will have to settle for glimpses like this one.

Paris Fashion Week still has days to run, so more sightings of de Armas in the city would not be a surprise. If this sequined mini is any indication, she is in no hurry to leave the spotlight.

What do you think of Ana de Armas’ black sequined Paris look?
