‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Popcorn Bucket Reportedly Revealed, and Doctor Doom’s Glowing Head Is Already Winning the Internet
Movie theater merchandise has become a blockbuster ritual of its own. A big release now means a new sculpted popcorn bucket, and fans line up for them as eagerly as they do for the films themselves. The trend that Marvel helped turbocharge is back with the studio’s biggest crossover yet.
The MCU has a growing list of memorable concession collectibles. There was a collapsible Captain America shield tub for ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ a massive Galactus head bucket for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ and a nano gauntlet for ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore.’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ kicked off the era of absurd, custom-sculpted buckets that went viral online.
Now the ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ popcorn bucket and drink cup have surfaced. DiscussingFilm shared the first look on X, crediting Cinemark as the source, and the images quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of views. Both items revolve around Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., which is hardly a surprise given that the villain has been the face of the film’s marketing.

The bucket is sculpted into Doom’s hooded metal mask, complete with glowing green eyes. The images do not show where it opens, though one outlet guessed the back of the head is the most likely spot. The cup is even more elaborate, showing Doom seated on a stone throne carved with geometric symbols.
The throne’s walls form the body of the cup, rising toward the straw, and embossed logos appear in the stone above him. Translucent green sections at the top and a green straw give the cup its own eerie glow. Together, the two pieces look like a matching set for collectors.
Before fans rush to the box office, there are a few caveats. Several outlets noted that the pieces had not yet appeared on Cinemark’s website or its X account, and others said it had not been confirmed that the images are real. One site pointed out that circulating images could be AI-generated, and it remains unclear whether the items will be exclusive to Cinemark.
That caution is worth keeping in mind, since fan concepts have flown around for months. Back in December, artist Bosslogic’s Doom bucket concept drew hundreds of thousands of views, and Downey himself shared the artwork. Until Marvel or Cinemark makes an official announcement, treat the details as unconfirmed.
The reveal fits neatly into an already Doom-heavy campaign. Marvel released an ‘Endgame Encore’ poster on September 25 that shows the villain sitting in a theater seat, holding a red nano gauntlet full of popcorn beneath the words “Doom Shall Attend.” A separate Doom bucket image circulated days later, showing a bust with a silver mask, a square-patterned green tunic and a cape.
Other merchandise has pushed the same character. A first wave of Funko Pops revealed a version known as Lord Doom, which appears to be Earth-828’s Victor Von Doom. Fans have been debating what that version means for the story.

The excitement around snack containers also reflects how large the movie has become. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ hits theaters on December 18, and it has already become the earliest film to earn more than $50 million in domestic ticket presales three months before its release date. Its trailer is also reported to be Disney’s most-viewed ever.
Fan reaction to the bucket has been enthusiastic, and funny. Commenters have joked that scooping popcorn out of Doctor Doom’s head is the only way any of them are beating him, and others said they need the head immediately. Plenty of people also noted how fitting it is that the villain who wants to rule everything has decided to rule the concession stand.
Whether the pieces turn out to be real, the demand is clearly there. If Cinemark or Marvel confirms them, expect long lines and aggressive resale prices. Either way, Doom is clearly claiming his throne at the theater long before the movie arrives.
