‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ is the CBS spinoff of ‘Young Sheldon‘, and it is officially back for another round. The comedy returns on Thursday, October 8, at 8/7c on CBS, with episodes streaming the following day on Paramount+. That makes this the perfect moment to catch up on everything worth knowing.

Whether you need the release date and time, want to know where to watch, or are hunting for a preview of what comes next, this guide has you covered. The ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ return follows a second season that left Georgie at an impasse with his mother, Mary Cooper. That unresolved fight gives the new episodes more tension than a typical sitcom comeback.

‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Release Date and Time

The third season premieres on Thursday, October 8, at 8/7c on CBS. That keeps the show in the Thursday evening home it has held since the beginning. New episodes originally aired Thursdays on CBS in an eight o’clock slot, ET and PT.

The renewal news arrived well before any date was locked in. CBS renewed the series, promising plenty of laughs heading into the 2026-2027 TV season. At the time, the network’s announcement did not clarify when the new episodes would arrive, but a fall slot was anticipated because the show has aired in the fall since its 2024 debut.

Fans also got an early peek behind the curtain this summer. Live tapings resumed on Tuesday, August 4, and the cast shared photos from set on social media. For anyone planning their evening, each episode runs about 30 minutes.

Where to Watch the Season Premiere on CBS and Paramount+

The most straightforward option is tuning in to CBS on Thursday at 8/7c. The premiere lands during CBS Premiere Week, so the network is clearly treating the return as a event worth celebrating. If you miss the live broadcast, you have a backup plan.

Episodes stream the following day on Paramount+. That follows the pattern set early on, because new episodes of the series were available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+ when it first arrived. Cord cutters and busy viewers should be able to keep up without trouble.

The show sits inside the same universe fans have followed for years. It was developed by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland. That creative pedigree is a big reason the ‘Young Sheldon’ faithful keep showing up.

Season Preview and the Georgie and Mary Feud

The biggest storyline heading into the new season is the rift between mother and son. Georgie discovered the blossoming relationship between Mary and his work nemesis Freddie Fagenbacher, and he threatened to keep Mary from seeing his baby daughter if the friendship continued. That ultimatum split the family right down the middle.

Mary did not take the threat lying down. She called his bluff by asking Fred out on a proper date, and Georgie stormed out, leaving the Cooper family more divided than ever. It was a dramatic way to end a season of a half hour comedy.

CBS has already shared an official look at the premiere, titled “Feminine Wiles and Some Tire Thing in Lubbock.” Tensions rise when Mandy and the family side against Georgie in his fight with Mary, while Connor turns to Georgie after landing himself in trouble. Georgie may find himself outnumbered at home.

Connor’s trouble is a thread worth watching. His surprise arrest in the finale was played for laughs, but it could very well shape his storyline this season. Meanwhile, TVLine exclusively revealed the key art for the season, which seems to confirm the young lovebirds are still committed to their first union.

Cast Returning for the New Season

The core ensemble is back in full. Montana Jordan returns as Georgie Cooper and Emily Osment as Mandy McAllister, joined by Rachel Bay Jones as Audrey, Will Sasso as Jim, Dougie Baldwin as Connor and Jessie Prez as Ruben Alvarez. That means the McAllister household remains as chaotic as ever.

Mary’s side of the family is represented too. Zoe Perry will continue to recur as Mary Cooper after appearing in 12 of the 22 episodes last season, up from seven in the first. Matt Letscher plays Freddie Fagenbacher, the man at the center of the whole feud.

At its heart, the series follows Georgie and Mandy as they raise their young family in Texas, and the couple has had enough of living with Mandy’s parents, Jim and Audrey. With the McAllisters firmly in his corner and Mary refusing to give up her friendship with Fred, do you think Georgie should swallow his pride and let his mom date whoever she wants, or is he right to hold the line, and which side of this family fight are you on in the comments?
