Every year, the final stretch of the calendar is when streamers stop whispering and start shouting. For Netflix, the fourth quarter has become a proving ground where prestige films, farewell seasons and live sports all collide in a few packed weeks. This year’s holiday slate looks like one of its most crowded yet.

The company is heading into that stretch from a position of strength. In its latest shareholder letter, Netflix reported that Q3 revenue grew 12% year over year to $12.9B, and it expects 2026 revenue of $51.1B with a 31.5% operating margin. It also noted that its audience is approaching 1 billion people.

Then the letter turned to what’s coming next. Netflix put its Q4 lineup front and center, spanning series, movies and live events, with ‘The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,’ ‘The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey,’ new seasons of ‘The Diplomat,’ ‘Nobody Wants This’ and ‘Lupin,’ the finale of ‘Emily in Paris,’ NFL games and the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight all getting a mention.

The biggest movie swing is ‘The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,’ which brings Brad Pitt back to his Oscar-winning role. David Fincher directs from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, and the story jumps to 1977, eight years after ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ with Cliff navigating a very different Hollywood.

The rollout is unusual for Netflix. The film gets an exclusive 2-week IMAX run worldwide starting Nov. 25, then arrives on the platform Dec. 23, and it’s billed as the streamer’s first movie released in IMAX theaters globally. Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller round out the cast.

Pitt isn’t the only big name on the film side. The list also includes ‘Animals’ with Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington, ‘Ray Gunn’ directed by Brad Bird and starring Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell, and ‘Bad Day’ with Cameron Diaz. The animated ‘Steps’ features Ali Wong, Stephanie Hsu and Amanda Seyfried, while ‘La Bola Negra’ (Spain) and ‘Possible Love’ (South Korea) are the international Oscar submissions on the slate.

On the TV side, ‘Emily in Paris’ is saying goodbye. Season 6 is the show’s final chapter and premieres Dec. 24, with production taking Emily from Greece to Monaco and back to Paris. The series debuted back in October 2020, and Season 5 landed in December 2025.

Netflix is also leaning into true crime with ‘The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey,’ which premieres Dec. 10. Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen play Patsy and John Ramsey, and the limited series was originally developed for Paramount+ before moving to Netflix in July.

The rest of the series roster is deep. ‘Pride and Prejudice’ arrives Dec. 3 with all 6 episodes at once, and the list also includes ‘The Diplomat’ Season 4, ‘Lupin’ Part 4, ‘The Empress’ Season 3, ‘East of Eden,’ ‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2, ‘The Body’ and ‘Below.’

Sports get a major spotlight too. The Green Bay Packers visit the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game, kicking off at 8 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium, and the broadcast will feature a halftime show by U2. Netflix then follows with its Christmas Day doubleheader, after last year’s Christmas broadcast of the Lions and Vikings became the most-streamed NFL regular-season game in US history.

The grand finale is the all-British heavyweight showdown everyone has been talking about for years. Fury and Joshua meet Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, with the fight streaming globally to Netflix members at no extra cost. Fury enters at 36 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, while Joshua sits at 30-4, and both have fought already this year.

Put it all together and Netflix is trying to give every kind of viewer a reason to stay logged in through the holidays. Whether you’re showing up for Pitt in an IMAX seat, a last trip to Paris, a Thanksgiving Eve touchdown or a heavyweight clash, the calendar is packed from the first week of December through Christmas.
