Collectors have been spoiled by ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ merchandise for months. Between sculpted popcorn buckets, Funko Pops and a full lineup of sixth-scale Hot Toys figures, the film’s characters have been turning up on shelves long before the movie opens. But one of the biggest additions yet has just arrived, and it is a machine rather than a hero.

The Sentinels have become one of the film’s most talked-about threats. Trailers have shown Doctor Doom commanding the mutant-hunting robots, and the official Special Look ends with Doom awakening an army of broken Sentinels around him. Promotional art released through ‘Marvel Snap’ has also shown a burned-down X-Mansion with a Sentinel’s wreckage lying in front of it.

Now Hot Toys has unveiled its Sentinel collectible for the film. The piece is labeled a Jumbo Sofvi Figure and follows a teaser in which the company told fans to prepare for the full reveal. Promotional images show the towering purple machine with a miniature Doctor Doom standing at its feet.

According to Hot Toys, the Sentinel is made from vinyl with metallic purple and gray paint and stands 60 cm tall, or about 23.6 inches. It has LED light-up eyes with switchable green and orange lights, along with 18 points of articulation. The figure also comes with 6 interchangeable hands and interchangeable face and chest plates, including battle-damaged options.

The miniature Doom included in the display underlines the scale. In one image, the villain stands roughly at the Sentinel’s knee, which captures the idea of the machines being enormous compared with the man who controls them. Hot Toys describes the piece as a towering centerpiece for any collection and is inviting fans to pre-order.

Pricing and release details for the Sentinel have not yet been confirmed in the coverage so far. That leaves collectors waiting on the number, although the line’s other pieces suggest it will not be cheap. For fans who want a smaller option, Funko has released a 10-inch Jumbo Pop of the Sentinel at $39.99.

The Sentinel has been woven into Hot Toys’ Doomsday collection from the start. The Ultimate Version of its Doctor Doom figure, which stands about 31 cm tall with 30 points of articulation, comes with a Sentinel hand-themed diorama base featuring LED lighting and a mystery accessory. It is priced at $390, compared with $285 for the standard Collector Version, and Doom’s Throne costs another $210.

Other figures follow the same pattern. The Deluxe Beast figure includes a battle-damaged Sentinel head base that recreates the head seen under Doom’s command in the trailer, with torn metal edges, exposed wiring, scorched armor and translucent green flame effects. It is priced at $390 and scheduled to ship in March 2028. A Deluxe Gambit figure, featuring Channing Tatum’s likeness, also comes with a Sentinel-themed diorama base.

The wider Hot Toys and Sideshow line includes Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Beast and Gambit, with prices for the standard and deluxe figures ranging from $285 to $390. A Deluxe Steve Rogers figure, featuring Chris Evans’ likeness, also carries a battle-damaged Sentinel head and hand diorama base. Together they turn the collection into a mini battlefield.

The marketing has been clear that Doom controls the Sentinels, but it has not yet revealed who built them or whom they were designed to hunt. The imagery reads as technology obeying something that looks like magic, a combination that makes Doom difficult for the heroes to handle. It also reinforces the film’s multiverse premise, with heroes from 3 universes colliding.

The presence of the X-Men is another factor. A Japanese poster put the X-Men logo alongside the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and Wakandan characters, and reported returns from several X-Men actors have fueled speculation. The Sentinels offer an obvious reason for those characters to be involved.

For collectors, the new figure offers the most dramatic way yet to display the threat. With the film arriving on December 18, expect pricing and release dates to follow soon. The only question is how much shelf space a Sentinel really needs.
