LEGO’s Zombie-Infested ‘What If…?’ Sanctum Sanctorum Gets a Price and a Release Date
Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum has become one of LEGO’s most dependable Marvel buildings. The Greenwich Village townhouse has appeared in multiple sets over the years, from earlier versions to the huge 2022 model that retailed for $249.99 and held 2,708 pieces before retiring in October 2024. It is a recognizable location that fans like to display, and LEGO keeps finding new ways to reinvent it.
The newest take arrives with a twist. Instead of the mainstream version of the mansion, the toy maker has gone to the multiverse for a version overrun by zombies. It also marks a return to an animated series that wrapped up in 2024, which makes the announcement a bit of a surprise for collectors.
LEGO has now revealed set 67005 Marvel ‘What If…?’ Doctor Strange Supreme, its first LEGO Marvel ‘What If…?’ set in more than 5 years. The 814-piece set costs $99.99, £89.99 or €99.99, and it arrives on January 1, 2027. Pre-orders are already open on LEGO.com.

The set recreates the Sanctum Sanctorum on a smaller scale as part of LEGO’s Marvel mini-modular collection, adding to the Marvel modular street. It features 3 zombie-infested floors packed with references to the animated series, along with removable portals. The box carries a 9+ age rating, and the set measures over 11.5 inches.
Accessories include the syringe used to develop a zombie cure, Throg in his regular frog form, and the Books of Cagliostro and Vishanti. Those details lean into the ‘Marvel Zombies’ storyline that grew out of ‘What If…?’. They also give the model more personality than a standard facade.
The set includes 6 minifigures, led by Doctor Strange Supreme and Zombie Hunter Spider-Man. The lineup also features F.R.I.D.A.Y. with her teddy bear head, a zombified Wanda Maximoff as the Red Queen, Zombie Namor and Zombie Thor. Strange Supreme was a central character across the first 2 seasons of ‘What If…?’, so having him front and center makes sense.
The final roster differs slightly from earlier leaks. Rumors in June described the set as including Zombie Thor, Zombie Iron Man, Zombie Wanda, Zombie Namor, Spider-Man and Strange Supreme, but the official lineup swaps Zombie Iron Man for F.R.I.D.A.Y. That detail shows how much the set changed between rumor and reveal.
The set launches alongside 67006 The Marvel Skyline as part of the first LEGO Marvel releases of 2027. It follows the release earlier this month of 76352 ‘Avengers Doomsday: New Avengers Tower’, a reminder of how closely LEGO is tied to the film’s marketing. Brick Fanatics calls the new reveal a sign that 2027 will be a weird year for LEGO Marvel, with the theme returning to a series that had ended.
The price puts the set well below the earlier Sanctum, which cost about $150 more and had more than 3 times as many pieces. At $99.99 for 814 pieces, it sits in the mid-sized range that often balances accessibility with enough substance for display. Collector databases project that the set could hold or increase its value after retirement, although such forecasts are only estimates.
For fans of ‘What If…?’, the set is a rare piece of merchandise from a series that has not had much shelf presence. The show’s alternate-universe premise gave LEGO plenty of material, and zombie variants have become some of the most popular characters in the multiverse. The new build captures that spirit with a decaying sanctum under attack.
It also shows how the brand mixes nostalgia with new ideas. A familiar building can be reused with a new story, new minifigures and new accessories, giving longtime collectors a reason to buy another version. Whether the set becomes a sleeper hit will depend on how many people want a zombie Sanctum on their shelves.
