New ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo Urges Fans to Grab Infinity Vision Tickets Now
Marvel Studios is deep into the final stretch of its campaign for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, and the promotional material keeps coming. Trailers, posters, food tie-ins and collectibles have all arrived in recent weeks, each one nudging audiences toward the December 18 release. The latest ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ promo continues that push, this time with a very practical goal.
The film has an unusual theatrical story. When Warner Bros. locked down IMAX screens for ‘Dune: Part Three’ for 3 weeks after both films open on December 18, Disney responded by creating Infinity Vision, a new certification for premium large-format theaters. Tickets for those screenings went on sale in July, about 5 months ahead of release, and the format was first used for the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ re-release in September.
That background explains the new promo. A short video featuring Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu and Danny Ramirez ends on a bold ‘Get Tickets Now’ message, followed by the Infinity Vision logo and a tagline promising bigger, brighter and more immersive screens. It’s a quick spot, but it shows how heavily Marvel is leaning on the premium format.

According to Disney, the certification is built around the largest screens for maximum scale, laser projection for brightness and clarity, and premium audio for immersive sound. The studio has said the goal is to help audiences identify the best theatrical experience. In practice, it’s Marvel’s answer to the IMAX gap, giving fans a clear label to look for when they book seats.
Tickets are no longer limited to those premium theaters, either. Marvel opened sales for all showings nationwide at D23 in August, where Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell appeared on stage to unveil a special look at the film. Early demand has been strong, and reports at the time pointed to big pre-sale numbers even without IMAX screens.
The cast list in the video is a small but telling sample of the film’s enormous ensemble. Evans returns as Steve Rogers, who was last seen as an elderly man after living out his life in the past at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Atwell is back as Peggy Carter, although it’s not yet clear which universe’s version of the character will appear.
Mackie, meanwhile, plays Sam Wilson, who took over the Captain America mantle, and the film’s setup puts him in the same story as the man who gave him the shield. Liu appears as Shang-Chi, while Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres, who has taken on the role of Falcon. Together they reflect the mix of old guard and new generation that the movie is built around.
That blend is a big part of the film’s appeal. The story brings together heroes from the Avengers, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to confront Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. The first trailer even teased a reunion between Evans’ Steve Rogers and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, complete with a moment involving Mjolnir.

For viewers planning their evening, the runtime is another talking point. The Hollywood Reporter has reported the film at 165 minutes, longer than ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ at 149 minutes but shorter than ‘Avengers: Endgame’ at 181 minutes. Marvel hasn’t finalized every detail, so slight changes remain possible.
That length places it right in the middle of the franchise’s previous crossover events. It also means ticket buyers should plan for a substantial sit, especially if they choose one of the large-format screens advertised in the promo.
Of course, Marvel isn’t the only studio fighting for premium seats. ‘Dune: Part Three’ opens on the same day in a clash fans have dubbed ‘Dunesday’, and both films are expected to draw massive crowds. Early ticket sales are therefore a key part of Marvel’s strategy, which is why a simple ‘Get Tickets Now’ message carries so much weight.
With about 7 weeks to go, expect more spots like this one, each urging audiences to lock in their seats early. The more fans commit now, the stronger the film’s momentum heading into its opening weekend. And with so many heroes returning, Marvel clearly believes the event will sell itself once the lights go down.
