‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cheetos and Doritos Surface With Doctor Doom Packaging and a Prize Promotion
Marvel’s marketing machine has now reached the snack aisle in a big way, and the latest ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cheetos and Doritos bags are the newest proof. Fresh photos of Spanish-language packaging show the villain’s armored face looming over two of PepsiCo’s best-known brands.
Snack tie-ins are nothing new for the franchise. Doritos teamed up with Marvel for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ back in 2015, with six character-themed flavors, a sweepstakes and a promotion running in more than 20 countries.
The new photos show two bags held up side by side. One is a Cheetos bag in a Cola and Vanilla flavor, and the other is a Doritos bag labeled Canela, which is Spanish for cinnamon.
Both bags are built around the same design. A dark, metallic Doctor Doom image fills the top, with crackling lightning bridging into the colorful brand logos below. A label on the Cheetos bag appears to read Vengadores Doomsday along with Doctor Doom, matching the title the film uses in Spain.

The bottom of each bag carries a prize message that translates as win an epic experience, with Marvel Avengers Campus branding and a Disney+ logo nearby. That suggests an on-pack promotion with a theme park-style reward, though the exact terms are not clear from the photos.
The images come from a fan photo, so the packaging has not been officially detailed. Marvel and PepsiCo have not confirmed these specific flavors.
That caution matters because fake designs have already circulated. An earlier viral image promised Doritos flavors like Latverian Jalapeño for Doom and Smoked Sriracha for Thor, and it turned out to be fabricated.
The real promotion is separate from that hoax. Marvel Studios and PepsiCo really are teaming up for a ‘Doomsday’ campaign, and real packaging has appeared in several markets.
A different Cheetos lineup surfaced in late August, with the flavors reimagining Doctor Doom as Salted Toffee and Mystique as Cheese and Ketchup. Ant-Man gets a straightforward Ketchup flavor, and the Human Torch is tied to Pizza.
Reports said that collaboration appears aimed at international markets rather than the U.S., following a familiar pattern for Marvel’s overseas snack partnerships. That would explain the unusual flavor combinations.
In the U.K., PepsiCo-owned brands like Wotsits and Quavers have also received ‘Doomsday’ packaging. Doctor Doom appears on Wotsits Bag of Bones, while Anthony Mackie’s Captain America is on Really Cheesy Wotsits.

The chips are just one piece of a much larger effort. Marvel has also partnered with Oreo for a color-changing creme tied to Doctor Doom, and M&M’s launched collectible character packs across 65 markets.
In the U.S., Dunkin’ will roll out a themed menu and collectibles on November 4, with more surprises planned for the start of the month. Pop-Secret has a limited-edition popcorn promotion, and Kinder Schoko-Bons Crispy has launched its first licensed campaign in India.
The theater side is just as busy. Spain’s Cine Yelmo has revealed a Doctor Doom bust bucket and mask cup, and Cinemark Brazil is selling glowing Doom collectibles.
Doom has become the central image of the campaign. Robert Downey Jr. plays the villain after his run as Tony Stark, and his green-cloaked, metal-masked look now shows up on everything from packaging to popcorn buckets.
That focus is deliberate. The film brings together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and more against Doom, and Marvel has kept plot details tightly under wraps while the marketing does the talking.
With the film set to open on December 18, fans should expect more tie-ins in the coming weeks. Snack brands, restaurants and theater chains all want a piece of what is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest releases.
Not every partnership will land the same way, and a cinnamon Doritos bag with Doom’s face on it might be one of the stranger ones. Still, it is a reminder of how far Marvel’s marketing reaches before a single ticket is sold.
