Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Stunt Double Fuels Wanda Rumors by Sharing the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Latverian Witches Poster
Marvel has turned the ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ campaign into one big guessing game, and few mysteries have kept fans as busy as the question of Wanda Maximoff’s whereabouts. The latest wrinkle involves Jennifer White, the longtime movement coach and stunt double behind the Scarlet Witch, whose social media activity keeps landing in the middle of the rumor mill.
White has been a quiet fixture of the character’s physical language since the early days of the MCU, helping shape the spooky hand movements that define the role. That history is exactly why fans pay close attention whenever she posts anything Marvel-related.
This time, she reposted the new ScreenX poster for the film to her Instagram Story. The artwork places Doctor Doom front and center with his 3 masked Latverian Witches.
The ScreenX poster is part of a larger batch of partner posters unveiled for the film, all built around Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Alongside the ScreenX version, there are separate pieces for Dolby, RealD, 4DX, HDR, Fandango and Infinity Vision, each giving Doom a different look.
In the ScreenX artwork, the villain is surrounded by his mysterious witches, whose faces remain hidden behind metal masks. The Dolby version has Doom with glowing fists, while the 4DX poster shows him standing in the wreckage of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
On its own, a stunt double sharing a poster would not mean much. The timing is the reason it has drawn attention, because White has been tied to Scarlet Witch rumors for months.
In late August, she posted a cryptic Instagram story and reposted behind-the-scenes photos from her previous MCU work, right as reports surfaced that the film was undergoing reshoots. A scooper later claimed she was spotted filming in a costume resembling Wanda’s look from ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. Another claim suggested that footage was for a post-credits scene, though that has never been verified.
The Latverian Witches have become one of the campaign’s central puzzles. Their costumes first appeared at Marvel’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con in July, and a poster at Comic-Con Málaga in October put three of them behind Doom in green, orange and purple robes.
Marvel’s tagline for that earlier poster declared that witching season had arrived, which only added fuel. Fans also noticed that the witch at the back appeared to be wearing red rather than a different color, leading many to wonder whether it hints at the Scarlet Witch.
Other theories have floated names like Clea and Sylvie, but none of them are confirmed. Marvel has not identified the performers beneath the masks, nor explained the witches’ role in the story.
For all the excitement, nothing official has confirmed Olsen’s return. Marvel’s materials still do not list her among the film’s confirmed cast, and the July trailer left Scarlet Witch out entirely. Reports about her involvement have pointed in different directions, and some insiders believe only her stunt double appeared on set.
That uncertainty makes White’s activity feel like a tease rather than a reveal. She could simply be celebrating a project she has history with, or she could be dropping breadcrumbs that fans are eager to follow.

The film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is scheduled to open on December 18. With only weeks remaining, the marketing has focused almost entirely on Doom, and the witches have become the most visible hook around him.
If Wanda is part of Doom’s circle, it would be a striking reversal for a character who appeared to meet her end in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. It would also fit the comic storyline where an amnesiac Wanda is controlled by Doom, a plot some fans have already pointed to.
Do you think the red-robed Latverian Witch in Avengers: Doomsday is actually Wanda Maximoff?
