Halloween is the one night of the year when pop stars can trade polished stage looks for something a little more playful. Costumes inspired by anime have become a popular route, since the characters come with instantly recognizable outfits and plenty of built-in fan goodwill. This year, one of the fall’s fastest-rising singers has joined in.

That singer is Adéla, the Slovak pop artist who has been climbing the charts with her debut album ‘PRIMA’. Born Adéla Jergová on November 27, 2003, in Bratislava, she trained as a ballet dancer before shifting to music, and her fuchsia hair has become one of her trademarks. Her path has taken her through Moscow, Vienna, London and eventually Los Angeles.

So when fans saw the Adéla Sakura Haruno Halloween costume, the match felt almost too natural. The singer posed in the pink-haired kunoichi’s look from ‘Naruto‘, complete with long magenta hair, a red zip-front top, a light pink skirt and black fingerless gloves. Two photos show her striking a dramatic hand pose against a plain white wall.

Sakura Haruno’s classic outfit is built around a red qipao-style top paired with a light pink skirt. Costume guides list light pink elbow-length arm warmers, black fingerless gloves and a black leg holster as the key accessories, along with the pink hair that defines the character. Adéla’s version hits nearly all of those details.

In the photos, she wears arm warmers on both forearms, a thigh holster on one leg and the black gloves with their cutout fingers. Her hair is worn long and straight rather than in Sakura’s short bob, a stylistic choice that keeps the look in line with her usual image. It reads as both faithful cosplay and a very Adéla version of the character.

Sakura is a member of the legendary ninja Team 7 in ‘Naruto’, the series created by Masashi Kishimoto. She is known as a sensitive, kind and slightly wacky girl who is also the smartest of her teammates. Over the course of the story she trains hard to keep pace with them, and she is also known as a medical ninja.

That mix of intelligence, strength and bright pink hair has made her a perennial Halloween favorite. Retailers sell full Sakura costume sets for adults and children, and cosplayers have recreated different versions of the character for years. Adéla’s choice joins a long tradition of fans turning the look into a seasonal staple.

The costume arrives during a breakout stretch. ‘PRIMA’ arrived on September 4, 2026, and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The album includes the viral hit ‘Nicole Kidman’, a love letter to the Oscar-winning actress that has climbed to No. 5 on the Shazam Global Chart.

Nicole Kidman herself has noticed. When asked about the singer at the London premiere of ‘Practical Magic 2’ in August, she recognized the name and was all in. Adéla’s other single, ‘Ain’t in LA’, has also charted, peaking at No. 17 on the Shazam Global Chart.

Adéla first emerged through the talent show ‘Dream Academy’ before launching her solo career with the 2024 single ‘Homewrecked’. She followed it with ‘MachineGirl’, co-produced by Grimes, and signed with Capitol Records and Polydor Records in May 2025. Her EP ‘The Provocateur’ arrived that August, and she supported Demi Lovato on tour in 2026.

Her music mixes electronic pop with alternative influences and a darker, more provocative mood. That edgy persona makes the Halloween choice especially fun, because it shows a lighter, fandom-friendly side of an artist who is usually associated with bold visuals. For anime fans, seeing a pop star embrace the aesthetic is a nice reminder of how mainstream the genre has become.

The photos are only just beginning to circulate, but the costume suits the playful, theatrical image Adéla has built around her pink hair. With her profile rising quickly this fall, a nod to a beloved anime heroine is the kind of moment that can travel well beyond her usual audience. It also shows how comfortable she is stepping into a character.
